I've had an iPod for about 12 hours now. I don't know what I did before it and that was only 12 hours ago.

"Your iPod is going to be your new girlfriend" - my girlfriend.

About the price drop, I read an article about how they are going to introduce the "mini-iPod" it'll only have like 1 to 3 gigs and will cost around $100. There is also a rumor about an iPod that goes with Final Cut Pro. "HEY LET'S SWAP HOME MAKE MOVIES"

I agree with suburbian bum, the color screen is pointless. I'm content with my pale blue backlight.

Christ, I currently have 860 songs on it at a total of 2.1gigs. If I did the math right I could possibly have up to 8,1900 songs on it.

I have replaced my ipod three times over the past 8 months through the warranty. i do it everytime i see the slightest sign of something wrong with it ( having nothing to do with appearance but to do with playback quality) at times the playback has been poor. If you enable the hard drive use its REALLY smart to eject it on the desktop rather then yank the shit apart. I love this thing

yea i replaced mine once already. sometimes when i dont use it for like 2-3 days and turn it on the apple symbol pops up and thats it, cant do anything, i have to wait for the batteries to die then recharge it.

forgot to add i still love it though. im getting it hooked up to my car on wednesday!

i guess i love and hate my ipod...

love it bcuz you can store so much music, good for using especially when you're stuck in traffic, or when you're at work and you don't wanna listen to milton's radio,

hate it bcuz it's white, it freezes up sometimes, it takes too long to charge, gotta carry all these wires with me and i can't seem to organize my music right bcuz a lot of the files i download from p2p programs aren't named right...

but it's all good cuz i didn't pay for my ipod :)

i believe all the new vw beatles come with ports that can dock the pod directly? possibly something along those lines.

i was also told that if you have a decent deck in your car right now, it possibly has mp3 ports on it, so i would imagine that plays into it.

however, i punched the crap out of my deck a week before xmas because the thing was a pile. very old and broken to shit, so i finished it off with my fist while driving to work because it SUCKED. so the day after christmas i cruised over to bestbuy and picked up a sony tape deck and a car kit. so while i've moved back from rocking a cd player in my car....i dont have to take any cd's with me anymore and i just have my ipod in my lap whenever im driving. ROCK.

You can get one of the radio things or just use the tape deck adapto-tron that came with your old CD player.

or if you have a deck in your car that has an rca input you can buy a cable to hook it up directly, like a home stereo, thus full 100 percent quality sound, and its the same price (even cheaper) than some of the fm units.

by my calculations i could now listen to my ipod for 12 days without hearing the same song twice... and i still have 12 g left to fill. I use the case because i put it in my pocket with some change the first day and the screen got a couple of little scratches in it. My only complaint is battery life; i feel like im not getting the requisite 8 hrs, more like 6 maybe, but whatevs, got the car charger and shit.

  • 10 months later...

First off, I've had a 4G iPod since September and I love it.

Just today the small white trim in the dock broke off (see below). Has this happened to anyone else?

It still plays fine, but what the fuck?!

Also, does anyone know if it's possible to sync two iPods together, or simply transfer the files from one to another.. maybe using iTunes?

I might get another iPod in the future and it would be nice to upload the songs from the old to the new.

Possible?

Here's the mofo:

since i don't have time to surf around for answers, does

anyone know if you can do recording(as in with a microphone)with

ipods yet? i'm in the market for something, but minidiscs are winning

due to the advantage of recording.

I've always been like, "fuck that iPod shit, my cd player is fine". But the idea of carrying all my music on a player the size of the deck of cards has become very appealing. I got two questions though:

When the battery does die? WHat do you do? Crack it open and put another one in?

I don't like keeping music on my computer, can you rip a few cds worth of music, upload it to the player and then delete the mp3s off your hardrive? And then just repeat the process?

I've owned my Ipod for about three months now and it goes everywhere with me. I bought the 10gig and it's perfect.

I woulda bought the Jukebox one that was posted on here but it just dosen't look as slick as an Ipod.

ill tell you buddy, but only because im high. the battery dies after 1000 charges. You can replace it by: A. sending it back to apple. B. buy the apple replacement kit to replace the battery. or C. get the 3rd party replace kit to replace the battery. So putting one in is an option. DONT CRACK IT OPEN BEFORE READING INSTRUCTIONS

You have to cannot delete music files from your computer. The title in the iTunes menu simply connects to the root file. So if your delete it, poof there goes your file.

NOW GO GET HIGH
