Mercer
I hope you guys don't think I did that lazer etched skateboard, I just thought it was rad as fuck. I found that on behance, dude made the designs in illustrator and had it lazer etched onto skateboards. Joshua M. Smith is the artist. http://www.behance.net/gallery/Hydro74-Laser-Etched-Skateboards/713193

Mercer
Yea man, I really dig that bear face the most out of that work. Reminds me of something a stoner would draw if they were super talented or a genius and had really good shit for some reason. Not implying anything negative, that's just how that style looks to me. http://www.senvald.com/ http://aznmextofu.deviantart.com/ Then there is this: Not sure how I feel about it since I normally hate copying photographs or paintings that look like photo's. Not that I hate realistic looking paintings, it's the photo looking paintings I just can't dig if that makes sense. Somehow this caught my eye, not sure if it's just because dude picked a rad photo or if it's style. I'd like to see the reference for this. Woah, I was looking at this wondering where the painting was. I'd like to see the reference too. Normally I'm the same with paintings that look like photos, but I've seen a few that just stand out. That's some damn talent.

Mercer
^^^Thanks Man, this is a dope thread all around, just trying to keep it moving. This one might be a little too weird for people digging the illustration styles: 201 Days is the documentation of physical sensations felt by the creator Katie Lewis. Using simple tools like pins, thread and a pencil she mapped her sentiments on a invisible grid. Each section of the grid on the wall is correlated with a different part of the body. Every time she felt a sensation in a particular area on her body, she documented the feeling onto the corresponding place on the grid with a pin and the date. http://katiehollandlewis.com/ http://www.jeffjordanart.com/ http://www.heiditaillefer.com/ Cool set posted here, digging the photo ilustration: http://www.behance.net/gallery/Threadless/169498 http://www.behance.net/gallery/Illustration/409135 Way off topic but this is a pretty dope info-graphic book concept about Taiwan if you peep the link: The cover of the book is just like someone is watching Taiwan with telescope, and said "Ilha formosa". It is inspired by the story of the first time European found Taiwan. They looked at this beautiful island and said "Ilha formosa" which means a beautiful island in Portuguese. After that, "Formosa" had been used as a name of this island (Taiwan) in the west for hundreds years. http://www.behance.net/gallery/Ilha-Formosa/1339213
