The mislabelled graphic confused viewers, although I don't know why.

 

 

TV3 graphic beats around the Bush

TV3 has apologised after a graphic labelling US President George W. Bush a "professional fascist" flashed up during its primetime news.

 

The baseline graphic, which was supposed to have promoted an upcoming weather bulletin, was aired to 360,000 viewers halfway through Wednesday night's news.

 

TV3 spokesman Roger Beaumont said the network was thoroughly investigating the mislabelled graphic.

 

"It was an absolute case of human error. The fact that it made it to air was extremely unfortunate and we apologise for any offence that may have been taken.

 

"What I can assure you is that it was a completely unintentional mistake."

 

The graphic was on screen for only a matter of seconds, but it was long enough to leave many viewers "surprised and confused".

 

Yesterday, the Herald heard from a handful of those people who wanted to know how and why the mistake happened.

 

Mr Beaumont said it was too early to say if disciplinary action would be taken against the person who made the "absolutely genuine mistake".

 

"But we are looking into it, for sure."

 

 

 

You know that some intern was joking around with his colleagues and accidentally pressed <enter>. I would pay good money to see the look on his face when he realized it was on the air.

HAHAHAHA, funny shit

 

when the war on iraq was started something similar happened in Europe. Everyone was expecting Bush's speach to know whats up and hear officially that the war has started...so there was a given time when he would adress the nation(s)...while he was getting ready for the speach, some euro parnkoner transmitted the signal on air...the first image that came up was some bitch doing bushes hair while he was testing his speach...unfortunatelly it took me a while to grab the camera and i lost the good scenes:

Thats her leaving the scene...then he tested some more, made some jokes with the cameramen and staff..and felt a bit thirsty:

Right after that, he wore his serious face, the camera zoomed so his daughters would be out of the frame and announced to the world the good news.....

 

 

I still think that whoever opened the transmition made the best pollitical comment ever.
