SEEKING,it's made with Photoshop's 6 "liquify" command. It's a very cheesy effect most of the time but in good use, like all things, it works good.

I did the same thing on the "poop avocado colored shape" if you recall.

You probably didnt notice it cause its not in the "filter"list,it's the last thing on the "image" tab, right after "extract" which is completely useless.

You assume right,i did the same thing with the folders.

ive got some plug ins that are good... noise and pixelating stuff...

i got a question...

how do i make shit so its just comprised of dots? knwo wht im talking about? its like a half tone effect or something... newspapers and screen printers use it sometimes... instead of being solid color, it'll be a bunch of dots of color. im also not just talking about the printing process, cause i know thats all dots, but im talking larger, solid colored dots. theres alot of pop art that uses it for color fills. am i making any sense with this? help me out...

SEEKING, i hope i got it right and you mean something like that.

I use the "color halftone" effect(FILTERS>PIXELATE>COLOR HALFTONE)

The color halftone breaks the four channels(CMYK i supose)in to dots. Its like it creates raster.

Anyway, when the window pops out you see:

MAX.RADIUS (you fill in a value in pixels)

This controls how many and how detailed the dots will be.

SCREEN ANGLES(DEGREES)

Now this one controls the position of the dots of each channel(with the default values it becomes like 4 same layers in different positions on the canvas).

If you enter the same price for all 4 channels(lets say 90 degrees for all)

The dots for every channel drop on the exact same place.

I prefer dealing with color afterwards so before the filter i turn the image to grayscale.

The resolution of the image affects the MAX.RADIUS value(since its in pixels).

The above was a grayscale image, 72 dpi,

And i halftoned it with max.radius 4

and 90 degrees for all channels.

Thats all i know, let me know if you discover something new.

How can i get these plugins you are talking about?

Seeking, one more thing.

I hope you can help me with this one.

Do you know a way of importing vector graphics made on Coreldraw on Flash.

I am strarting flash now,and i have a lot of stuff designed in corel that i wouldnt want to do all over again.

Does the DFX(autocad)format work?

maybe I can help...

you need to import vector graphics as paths then work with the path,

because otherwise you'll get rasterized. (i love that word)

ive never really worked much with vector stuff... i know a tiny bit of illustrator, but for the most part, i never cared to learn. i dont use the computer to make images too much, i use it to alter real ones... im sure it must be possible, but im not real sure how. i think with photoshop6 you can work with vector shit right? well could you import it into PS an then resave it as a jpg or something? you prolly thougth of that, but just figured id throw it out there....

thanks for the detailed halftone thing. ive done that before, but i forgot how to go about it. also, i just realized that the amount of dots probably coincides with the dpi too huh? thats why when i used a 72 dpi image the dots were larger than i wanted... im asuming if i had a higher res image, the dots would be smaller... right?

thanks...
