Much like the recent book thread, we all like the same semi - hipster youthful cliche shit. I like all of these movies but Jesus if I hear one more thing about Donnie Darko or The Warriors I'm going to kill one of you...

So that said, some of my favorites:

Dangerous Liasons

True Romance

Gosford Park

Yojimbo

City of God

7 Samurai and The Magnificent 7

The Spanish Prisoner

The Conversation

Wonder Boys

...fuck it, I like movies so I will continue to respond to these threads

well, I've heard more songs than I've seen films, and I've seen more films than I've had women and I still can't choose my favorite woman so...

I think you should all see Angel Heart (PLUS read Fallen Angel by William Hjortsberg)... and Eraserhead... and Calligula.... Straw Dogs... Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf...

^so, kinda the same theme but...

Defiance w/ Jan Michael Vincent, caught an Iz the Wiz tag and a bunch of real school graff... I think it was filmed down by Wall street in the 80's though it'd hard to guess sets... still, looks ike mostly tribeca...
