Dark/ Strange Films

Recommended Posts

I've always been into the dark/ strange films form the past. Such a Tim Burton's creations, classic horror films such as Nosferatu, The Shinning, The Exorcist, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and other weird/strage/dark films made from the past. Film Noir is one name or it. Horror films. Whatever. The thing is, I never took the time to actually research and explore different films in this genre. I just watch what people have shown. So I've decided to start collecting movie titles for this summer, cause I plan on watching a lot of movies. Any suggestions?

I thought Texas Chainsaw Massacre sucked. It had this huge hype around it, "oooooh, so bad, so scary, so controversial". Major let down.....

This is a coool movie,

Plot Summary for

Jetée, La (1962)

28 mins

Earth lies ruined in the aftermath of a nuclear war. The few surviving humans begin researching time travel, in hopes of sending someone back to the pre-war world in search of food, supplies, and hopefully some sort of solution to mankind's imminent demise. The protagonist is a man whose retention of a single, vague childhood memory (that of witnessing a murder on the jetty at Orly airport) is the basis for his being chosen to travel back in time. His journey leads him towards an enigmatic and paradoxical destiny.
