KaBar 28 Posted May 9, 2003 Had one when I was riding my Harley a lot I guess it was just part of the uniform. My wife had a job at the Harley shop as a bookkeeper, because we knew the owners. There was a big ass recession, and the H-D shop was in deep trouble. To pay her the wages they owed her, they gave her Harley parts at at employee discount. I cleaned up big time that Christmas---new chrome drag pipes, tune-up kits, T-shirts, etc., including a cool ass chain wallet. I carried it for years, but when I went to nursing school in 1993, I hung it up, and mothballed my scooter. I never lost my wallet either. BTW, the Harley guys I rode with all called it a "trucker's wallet." A friend of mine lost a pistol once in a bar, in the bathroom (he was wasted) but never his wallet. We went back later and asked the bartender "Hey, did you find a 9mm automatic in the head last night?" and he said (this is a true story, lol) "What brand?" My buddy, who was mortally embarrassed, and hung over as shit, mumbles "Smithanwesson." "What was that? Speak up, I can't hear you?" "Smith and Wesson." "I ought to fucking keep it. You assholes are not welcome in my bar any more. Don't come back." He slaps the pistol on the bar. No magazine. "Where's the magazine?" He puts the empty magazine down next to it. "Sorry." "I don't want to see any of you here again." We left. I felt bad. He was right. I never went back.

I never went back. heh, a similar thing happened to me at a Dennys... this was about a month after I passed out at the breakfast bar and dropped a full beer out of my pocket... it broke... anyway, I mainly stopped going to Dennys when I was loaded... *mine was just a cheesey Davis Industries .380... casekonly 5 Posted May 9, 2003 the wallet w/ chain that i have isn't an extendo super biker wallet...it's small and leather. i got it at a skate shop in '89 or so...i've had it ever since. when i go somewhere that i can't rock the chain, i pull it off and rock the leather wallet... heydrich, you are projecting your gayness on me...it's really you who are having feelings of homosexuality...what's wrong, is zee zee not giving it up anymore? ubejinxed 3 Posted May 9, 2003 i used to have one made out of braided string stuff that i made and attached with a keychain thing. i used it when i was a tomboy and wore pants that were too huge for me. somtimes i'd get up and find my wallet hanging by my side since my pants were so big. that thing saved me. now that i'm older i carry a purse/bag. stupid beastly things so having a chain would be a little unnecessary. i'd say they're ok if u have a tendancy to loose your wallet, or wear pants with larger pockets. whatever who cares. who am i to say anything, i have a stupid purse. RumPuncher 34 Posted May 9, 2003 when I was a professional sailor I'd have a tone of lanyards clipped to me. They were rope, not chain, so I guess it dosn't count. But I'd have my knife, a bosuns whistle and sometime a small bag of tools attached to me. http://www.mytoolstore.com/klein/87410.jpg'>

Guest WebsterUno Posted May 9, 2003 *believe* I used to sport one cuzz I lost one that had over 500 dollars in it. I carried cash like that alot, so I needed insurance that I wouldnt lose it again. I know who, and how it got stolen. I asked that person to let me borrow a few hundys, and I made my loot back. Never paid the bitch back either. I know she fuckin took it. We were the only ones in the rooM!! She got 'paid' for her services, and I learned a hard lesson. I would sport one, but the buttons kept messing up my lil ones pictures, so I bought a nice lil leather wallet. For pics, a few IDs, and some loot. I dont think that these types of wallets are fashion. Its more of a security type thing, biking, riding, and writing...lolz. One thing, I would always get caught in chairs, and stuck in bus seats...like the chain would get stuck, and Id be sitting there tugging at it like a mad man. RumPuncher 34 Posted May 9, 2003 See I use a metal cigarette case and it just holds my bill fold, my drivers liscense, a credit card or two and som business cards. Nothing that cant be replace (except the money... Der!) That way I can always feel it in my pocket and most people dont think it's a wallet. Only fools and travelers carry all their criticals like birth certificate, passport, sin# etc.
