I know someone on 12oz knows how to prevent this spammishness. I need to know. This shit is annoying as fuck and it must be stopped. Can someone PLEASE fill me in on some kind of spam stopper. I've heard it has something to do with a broadcasted ISP address but I don't know.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

first things first. Open a new email account.

step two-stop going to porno web pages.

step three- do not click those banner games at the bottom of kazaa.

step four- do not use your new email address for anything but communicating with people that you know and trust.

step 5- do not sign up for any of those get rich quick schemes because they sell and trade your information with everyone.

That shold just about do it. Me Spam free for 3 months now. Enjoy.

I am not sure what messanger spam is, but if you are talking about pop-up screen ads, try downloading something like STOP!zilla or any other program designed to deal with that shit.

To turn off the messenger service in XP:

1. Click on the Start button and open the control panel.

2. Open the Performance and Maintenance control panel and go to Administrative Tools.

3. Now double-click on Services, then scroll to Messenger.

4. Double-click Messenger and click Stop to stop the service.

5. Change the startup type to Disable
