Drue_Down
neg me all you want, but your framing and angles are the worst parts.. not just the subject. Try tinkering with depth of field, it would make your shots less boring.

tango 24
Terrible ... I know ... this one shows the most potential. try using structured lines in the area around you to set up your shots. you have some really nice ones here to use, just make sure you take your time to line them up. tango 24
experiment with editing too, if you're shooting on digital teach yourself some basic photoshop techniques it will definitely pay off when you compare the raw shot to the edited image

tango 24
what kind of camera are you shooting on? I took 5 minutes to edit one of your shots because they do have potential. the buildings around you have straight lines, use them to frame a shot. straight lines look better when they're straight in the frame. ShortFuse
what kind of camera are you shooting on? I took 5 minutes to edit one of your shots because they do have potential. the buildings around you have straight lines, use them to frame a shot. straight lines look better when they're straight in the frame. So I fail to see what you did. You spoke of framing the shot to the lines etc. So I thought hmmm doesnt look to different....so your "edit" layed over top his photograph with 75% opacity shows you didnt do anything besides try and turn a color image b&w which doesnt always end well. B&W photography should always have a good distinction between a true white and a true black. In your case its nothing but muddy greys. Personally I think the more you lean on your editing skills the worse you are as a photographer. Its not about snap shots that you can later alter, its about have a good eye and capturing that moment then later if you feel it necessary to correct a minor imperfection. Life is imperfect so thats always going to happen. I think I gif could help see it better...
