hey duderinos i have a question and do not know where i should ask so here it goes.

i take all my images in 14bit uncompressed nef files. file sizes range from 20-30 mb each and want to find a good way to batch process these files to jpeg.

100s at a time, if possible.

im pretty sure my machine can handle the load

if all else point me in the correct location?

No real help here, I have the same problem myself.

I have enough ram to open about 35 .nef's at a time and just use automation to save them as Tiff or Jpegs.

I can only open them using camera raw at first, then photoshop, the automation requires a manual "open files" command in raw.

Speaking of 14bit NEF's, when I try to use lightroom to open them,

14 bit color files come out looking like shit after they're saved in PS so I never use lightroom.

I'm stuck using bridge to browse and open which is fine because I need the batch rename command bridge.

I have been MIA for a while but here are some photos! I have been so busy with work that I have thousands of photos on my computer, still unedited from the last couple of months. hopefully time will allow me to post some on here in the next week or so!

Absolutely, esp. considering that dude just did it. give me a photoshop vignette, legacy contrast and a 1x1 crop and i can too, but that is way different than popping something out like that with a polaroid. Even if you haven't seen that Walker Evans print, chances are you admire someone else who did (i dont mean that in any way insulting, just to say that dude's influence stretches far beyond being familiar with his particlar prints).
