Tyler Durden Posted June 30, 2003 Share Posted June 30, 2003 in relation to the cartier-besson stuff, atget took what was mostly a utilitarian approach to his work. he had thousands of shots all carefully kept which he sold to artists as referance points for sketching/paintings. i remember seeing some examples a while back of where his photos can be found in some fairly famous paintings. one can look at his work and find artistic elements of composition and such. personally i tend to lean more towards the design of the photo/image rather than any emotional response which i feel should be secondary and on a solid base. i dont know. enough ranting.
