I on the other hand have a FinePix 40i and the internal power controller thingy just keeps dying. I know two other people witht he same and it keeps happening to their's too. Supose the moral of the story is don't buy a 40i. It is a pity, as they are a small handy camera.

Ski Mask
I would like to take this post to express my frustration at getting quality scans of slides. arrrrghghg. sensia gives such good warm tones, yet all the damn scans on the cd are fucking icey cold. :heated: on another note, why have I slept on shooting models? how fucking ill a job is this? I just did two bullshit short sets with teenage modeling students, but the results are ill. and the idea of spending my life shooting photos of hot women and getting payed good money to do it definately appeals to me.... that cat is ill! Any idea how one would get in contact with people to possibly get some jobs like this, cuz that sounds like my type of work.

MrChupacabra
As usual, sprry about some of the darkness on some of these pictures, my scanner is pretty old and has the tendency to mess with some of my pictures. MrChupacabra
Its just been me and ese running this shit lately, where are the other kids with photos? Rage, Tyler Durden, jbrsh, Hyrax, Mang, etc. Speaking of mang, he hasn't been on here in a minute, and he always had dope pictures.
Tyler Durden
Originally posted by MrChupacabra Its just been me and ese running this shit lately, where are the other kids with photos? Rage, Tyler Durden, jbrsh, Hyrax, Mang, etc. i dont do anything worth posting. ese's modeling shots: the first one is lit well and the skin tones are looking good especially around the lower arm/hand area. the second one is really lit hard from the left making the whole upper portion of the face hot. this could all be due to the scanner not picking up all of the tones that were in the slides. if thats the case, disregard everything i said as idiocy. personally, i dont like the model. she doesnt seem very "into it" or whatever. the look on her face in the first one is a stare...which i usually dig, but its too "blank" on her there. it almost gives it too much of a snapshot feel. and the second one is eerie because of the way her head is posistioned, which i actually like quite a bit. but the lighting is throwing me off a bit (still, could be the tones not showing up...) also, how high are the ceilings in the studio you were using? because it looks like you caught the ceiling but im not sure... the white backround is a good idea too, but did you try using an avedon-style lighting on any other shots to get rid of the shadows in the backround? just curious.
