FUCKING NICELY

Loving the Polaroids and your shit too, carwreck. Straight dope.

I'm saving up for a reasonably cheap digital SLR. Any suggestions?

I vote for a D70s (~$1000), but the D200(~1700) that's coming out towards the end of the year is where the money's at.

I am assuming that's $1000 US?

Iam living in Aus. so thats like $1,369.67 AUD

Which is pritty resonable. Still quite expensive for what I was looking for.

I found a Olympus e-300 for $1000 AUD and $1,300 for an extra lense.

Cheers for that though....

there's a resize for you all... i heard shit was heavy duty on the dial-up crowd. sorry about that. here's two more while i'm at it:

(undercover s.w.a.t-looking get-up? what a fucko)

POIESIS: it's the main plant for bethlehem steel... the history is crazy--steel from here went into the empire state bldg., golden gate bridge, and a billion other things. the place got shut down in '95 after going under. it sat (and still sits) untouched since and now some investors want to make it into some shopping/casino/tourist thing. plus the smithsonian is looking to set up The National Museum of Industrial History in the giant shell of the machine shop. that's about the only good idea so far. people here either love it and want it on the historic registry or they hate it and think it's a big rusty eyesore that should get leveled... no real middle ground. lots of contention though.

*edit... wrong website.

so what's the surrounding area like? is it just kind of plunked on the outskirts of town or is there small businesses and residential development nearby? how old is it, like 1920/30's era? i'm glad i didn't see any graff on it in those pictures, that kind of natural decay of such a brute should be left as is.

i'm thinking that thing must have some value to the film industry if anything.

in terms of design and architecture, that thing is fucked. whenever i see industrial fortresses like that i'm always astonished at how random, haphazard and precarious they look.

also, that thing would make a fucking spectacular transformer robot.
