oh man...

why did I agree to help my friend move?

First I have to get up at 6:00am to get to his place.

Normally I wake up around 10:00am. Then we findout the

movers are goingto be late. Cool... nap time!

Then it gets really messy when we get to the new pad.

The old tennants (and landlords) haven't moved out of the place

yet and the guy paces around like a fucking loon. Turns out he was

late for his appointment at the methadone clinic. Seriously.

So we have to lay my buddies entire appartment on this tarp

on the front lawn while we help these aging hippies move thier crap.

They were full on hippies complete with the classic rock blairing.

So anyone else making or helping with a move?

Anyone else late for a needle at the methadone clinic?

worst moving expierence: a guy at work ask me early in the week to help him move on a friday. i act like i don't want to and he offers to pay me. i say ok. so friday it starts to really snow, and the guy thinks he is still going to move cause he had to move his stuff that day. he lives in the mountains so i say i'm not going up there in this storm but when you get to the city i'll help you move in. so he finally calls me at 11pm on friday night and i go over reluctantly, it was supposed to be around 7. so we continue to move rediculous amounts of heavy furniture up icy/snowy stairs while his girlfriend sits on the couch drinking pop. it took me and him (the other help went home) 3 hours. and then he only gives me one case of beer!! no money. oh i was pissed, but he was my manager so i didn't say much....

This one box flipped open and I say all the classic hippy shit.

I mean having junk boxes filled with rolling papers, fema pipes

and hemp bracelets is fine if you're trying to come off as the

'college dorm stoner' and you're 21, but it's not so cool when you're 40.

I had to pack up a friends room for him once because he was out of

the country for a few months. I just tossed everything into boxes and he

said it was like Christams when he opened them. He had no idea what to find.

Socks, books, art, tools... all in the same box.

this one guy from work had to move.

He's a total nerd that doesn't really deal

to well with some of the basic life skills.

His girlfriend is way worse. She's a professional artitst.

So the boss comes up to me and tells me that I'd be doing

the company a huge favor if I helped the guy move.

Plus he'd give me $100.

so after all is done (it went well becasue I just took over the hole thing)

I get my check the next week with an extra $70 on it.

What the... oh shit! I got taxed !

Moving day is cool when you're done and the guy you helped move buys you a 24.

I was supposed to help some guy move a couple of weeks ago, but I had court all day.

Did any of you see that episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm where Larry David and Richard Little help that "blind" man move? HILariOUS!

I have spent the last week helping my best friend move his aunt into his apartment since she has no other place to go.....she has some heavy mother fucking furniture.

The zack morris oner hates movieg people for the sole purpose that when you were blessd with toothpicks instead of arms lift heavy furniture and carrying it up 2 flights of stairs is honestly NO FUN...the only good part is every time I helped move I was smoked out like no other.

Yeah... that's the price I pay for having strong arms and broad shoulders:

Having to carry heavy shit!

I mean like the box of weights that my buddy packed away.

Who's carrying it? Oh me. A whole box? only like 60 pounds.

shit.
