Same ol' bs "underground" hip hop names you always see. Almost every hip hop artist / group listed here in this thread are all play skooled out... I listen to a couple select few hip hop artists that still have not been listed (because they aren't for the lame "underground" kids). With that said I vote for downloading some Slayer while coining the phrase, "Hip hop is rap, there is no difference."

Its all about dub verses over

commercial beats! haha

I hear ya Filthy.

I got tired of all rap period

around 96. Up until around

2001 I started getting back

into it. Yeah, everyone listens

to the same MCs, but hey,

thats all thats out there.

Its like that song "searching

for the perfect beat"...

you spend your time trying

to find a dope unique sound.

You find it, bump it, and lose

interest once you hear other

people playing it too. I feel you!

Thats why I dont limit myself

to only Hip Hop. I listen to

rock, hip hop, dub, ragaee,

drum n bass, oldies, blues,

CORRIDOS!, banda, whatever

sounds nice to my ears.

I like thrash bands like Slayer

too. Sheeit, I bet you think

Punk and Hip Hop dont mix!

Hahaha....Africa Bambataa bro.

TOOl is my favorite band.

Mike Zoot had a good jam

back in the day, so did MF DOOM

Well God damn Webster. We share common ground in our points of view on music. I listen to hip hop, but only *GOOD* underground hip hop... most of the "underground" kids here haven't even heard of (because they weren't featured in the Scribble Jam 2k2)... Anyhow, I like a score of punk bands and I'm also into IDM and D&B.... I must also say that TOOL is my favorite band. It's refreshing to see that there are some out there that are open-minded about being a music snob.

sigh. as much as im probally bugging you..geezus you fucking bug me also. you anti people.. why dont you just go out in tim buck too and become a fucking hermit. " because they arent for the lame underground kids" wtf.. "all played out" so fucking what.. if you consider them played out maybe its because they are actually good mc's. I'm not listening to any of those mc's because they are underground.. i listen to them because they are good.. i dont listen to any music because its underground.. it just happens to be that alot of the "lame underground" i find appealing. I said "underground" hiphop because thats what most of those artist are associated as. If you dont want to list your so called underground artists then dont..but dont fucking go around with a stick up your ass calling other people lame.

alure, go with the classics. Gangstar, The Roots, The Fugees, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Black Star, Common, ect. A lot of underground is kind of getting played out, but the reason I say that is for certain reasons I don't really feel like typing at the moment. I need to bounce. Hit me up on aim if you want to sometime, we can talk about hip hop.

sickboy: but see i already own alot of the classics.. everyone of those that you listed i already have their cds.. and i'm not going to stop listening to the mc's that i LIKE because they are played out.. i mean if thats the case.. isnt common played out or selling out then? dont get me wrong i love common.. and i wont stop bumping his shit.. but he was just in a coke commercial with mya... so what exactly do you mean? i really didnt want to make this fucking thread into a debate.. but yeah.. just my voice on things.

Yeah, there's no stick, but I get tired of seeing other "writers" fronting like they can paint and listening to aesop rock or some other very well known underground MC. It just makes a bad word association. You know that whatever I say is my opinion. I would not have said anything, except, I've listened to everything that's been listed here, and very little of it is impressive to me. If you're pleased by monotone voiced MCs and the same old replayed break beats, by all means it's whatever stains your shorts. No offense, but if you've listened to enough hip hop music you could've predicted every suggestion listed here.
