optimodub
just went to see Lee Perry for the 3rd time with my parents, fucking top notch, my friend met him on the plane up here and he wrote her a little message on a postcard and put her on the guestlist, nice work as for recommendations...nobody could be disappointed by the 'Heart of The Congos' album by The Congos, almost brings a tear to my eye it's so good The Revolutionaries are worth checking, they have a song on that Madlib reggae compilation, which is a nice nice mix of Trojan stuff, worth buying my mate swears by Prince Far-I, i have one LP which is not bad, but there is still plenty by him i need to investigate, one to take note of one that i reckon is worth checking that people probably wont have heard of is 'Echo Dek' by Primal Scream, a dub mix of their 'Vanishing Point' album by Adrian Sherwood, the UK dub producer guy, some dark and nasty claustrophobic tracks, and some nice mellow ones, one of them with Augusto Pablo eh...i'll need to check my records to list more for if anybody is interested
