War Coverage

sometimes I watch the foreign CNN when they switch up w/ ITN (or BBC) and then BBC (or ITN) is on our public broadcasting channel... I think MSNBC is the closest to the middle and the most conservative with their proclamations (of the American cable news channels)... they seem to deliver without much slant, though, lke Fox, they have bunches of slanted 'topical' shows in the evenings...

What's funny is that Fox airs The Simpsons.

I don't have a TV either, but NPR is what's up. The British accents, while maintaining a subtle yet consistent degree of apparent objectivity and an impression of journalistic integrity, always sooth my ever-anxious mannerisms. Good shit to take a nap to, or perhaps contemplate while enjoying a warm cup of tea resting softly on a white-lace doily between proper sips.

some guy on MSNBC said: "The Iraqi army had a worse defense than the Cincinati Bengals!"... so, it's good to see the Bengals getting some props.

I also just noticed a little bitch move that y'all have been trying to use to slag me. Some of you keep popping up with:

"Oh, Smart watches Fox (or MSNBC or whatever)"

Yeah, you know what, fuck you. I'm sorry I'm smart enough to keep myself appraised of the propaganda coming out of all quarters. I'm sorry you are so thickheaded and arrogantly sure of your own position that you are willing to issue blanket dismissals of the stories being covered by ANY segment of the media. Fuck you for being so dumb that you can't immediately recognize that ALL of my arguments are based on the preponderance of the evidence (as I know it, and I didn't get smarter than all of y'all by having shitty research techniques or being incapable of true insight), not some television station's hidden agenda.

so... in the Centcom briefing just now... General Brooks said they captured 4 men with letters offering cash rewards for the deaths of american soldiers, which is like 'whatever' but... they had $630,000 US in their posession... I wish I had $63,000, or hell, $6300...

Firefight

Wow, on CNN right now, Brent Sadler is traveling out of Tikrit and they just blew through an Iraqi checkpoint, took some fire and got chased by a couple cars and a continued exchange of fire... This is an unescorted news convoy, they aren't embedded w/ the armed forces.

so... if Fox's "The Ultimate Sacrifice" segment, where they show our fallen soldiers portraits, wasn't enough... they've added a REALLY BAD song to it...

And, did anyone see the gold plated AK they got out of Uday's castle? Actually, there were a few gold plated weapons, fuckin raw gangsta!

i saw the eagle fly from the upper left corner of the screen through the logo and shoot two fire bolts from its eyes before dissapearing in to the bottom left center of the screen. all in all i would say its appearence lasted aproximatley 2 seconds at most. What kind of message are they trynna send with a national symbol thats a bird of prey being digitazed and given unreal powers?
