MrChupacabra
Much Worse - Proper Execute EP is going to be one of the best hardcore releases this year. You've never heard of them, and it's only February, but i'm already confident this will be in a lot of top 10s. Unfortunately for all of you, i don't want to be an asshole to the dude who is putting it out, but i've had the pleasure of getting all the songs from him preemptively. In the meantime, go listen to the two songs that he has up http://fashionableactivism.blogspot.com/ Think 9 Shocks Terror meets Japanese hardcore. This shit rips so hard. I will toss up the link as soon as it's released and up on his blog. And while i'm at it, shameless self promo: http://outstandingasshole.blogspot.com/ I've been out of town a bunch recently, which has put a damper on my record ripping capabilities, but i should have some more updates next week as soon as i get back and pick up an anti-static brush to remove an excessive amount of unwanted static from a bunch of new records. My apartment is dry as fuck, static-y and if trying to deal with the static causing noise on my records wasn't enough, it's also nearly impossible to keep cat hair from gravitating to them even after i clean them diligently, seeing as I have two cats that both shed like their lives depend on it. Fist 666
making a cat-soup would solve that problem...
MrChupacabra
There would still be all the static. I bought some records the other day and literally got shocked when i pulled one out of the sleeve. I keep trying to rip it too and it sounds like someone is popping popcorn in the background. MrChupacabra
I think i'm going to pick up one of these or something similar. I've heard good things. Running a humidifier is another option, but i think the brush would be a far more effective option. http://shop.mapleshadestore.com/prodinfo.asp?number=PHONO-BRU
Fist 666
i've also known people who just set bowls of water around their place to act as a 'natural humidifier'
SystemFailure
Just wanted to give major props to MrChupa for uploading ripping albums one after another. I haven't slept on your blog and its offerings, just finally found time to dl and listen. Good lookin out and mucho appreciated. Shikabane just became one of my favorite bands, again. MrChupacabra
I have 3 other Shikabane releases if you need them. An LP with a japanese title (人のために生きるか 自分のために生きるか), a split 7" with Agathocles, and their first 7". The first 7" and the split are a lot more grind sounding. Why Do You Live is definitely my favorite of the bunch. By the way, that offer applies to anyone on here. If you get something from me that you like, don't be afraid to ask if i have any other releases by said band. I have no problem uploading anything I have on my computer, or ripping any records i have if i have the time.
SystemFailure
That would be fuckin awesome. I can wait if it's easier for you to up them to your site. I'm figuring that would be more convenient since then you'll be doing the same with others instead of makin a special trip so to speak. All the japanese shit is in the japanese folder, if people are too slow to figure that one out. A mix of noise rock, punk, and hardcore in the main folder. Most of it is titled artist and record, some just artist, some just record. http://www.mediafire.com/mrchupacabra

MrChupacabra
Some noise rock i've been enjoying for you folks who also enjoy that type of shit. Description and link pulled from icoulddietomorrow "Twin Stumps are a Queens-based band playing noise rock in the vein of No Trend, albeit heavier. Drunks With Guns is also a very prominent influence on this band, as its sound is anchored by a heavy rhythm section, all while propelled by wiry, noisy guitars and manic vocals. The perfect example of this also happens to be my favorite song on the 12", "Beyond The Door," which sees vocalist Alessandro letting loose his lycanthropic howling over a brilliant, slithery guitar line." http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=bd7f24efb98d12f219747bd91027d4dd1a986db5cca36f7b They have a new LP coming out in a few months too. MrChupacabra
Just won myself a Tascam 414 MKII analog 4track on ebay. Pow. Receive it > fiddle around with it for a day or two > send it to Boston to have drum/bass/guitar tracks recorded > have it sent back to me to record vocals > mix down > put to cassette > subject you all to heinous noise rock. MrChupacabra
Is there any other way? I have no control over the music aspect since the guy writing/recording all of it lives on the other side of the country, but i do intend to do some brainbombs worshipping lyrics. The type of stuff where you almost feel bad for even writing them.

MrChupacabra
fuck yeah, xerox flyers. I hate how so many people just do shitty photoshop flyers these days that look like they should be for a rave or something equally gay. PS: Raw Nerve's new LP is a ripper, though it won't be out for awhile yet. In the meantime, here's their demo, which is 10 songs of killer, no frills, fast and frantic hardcore punk. One of the songs is a Nirvana cover too, if that piques your interest. If it doesn't, get it anyways. I've been listening to it constantly all week. http://www.mediafire.com/?jt2ixhdytw0
