Palestine is a country in the Middle East also known as the Holy Land. Its the holiest site for the three main world religions, christianity, cause jesus was born there nazareth, bethlehem, islam., cause the dome of the rock is there, and judaism, cause the wailing wall is there. Anyway, the jews came in by the hundreds of thousands after WWII, they then asked the British two give them a state of their own anywhere in the world. The british took this whole region (Palestine, Jordan, Egypt) from the Ottoman Empire and so they thought it would be no probvlemn to declare a brand new state, the state of israel, a state for jews. This became a huge problem, because the Palestinians (muslims and christians) already inhabitted that land for hundreds of years. So israel was created, and the arabs fought them and the israelis fought back. It goes on till this very day and it will go on forever. basically, the israelis have all the tanks, helicopters, jets, and the palestinians have rocks and shitty guns, and fanatic religious ppl.

^^^technically, yes, but in reality, the US is neutral on the situation... I know, it seems like the US is a full fleged supporter of the Israeli state no matter what they do, but the thing is, the US is a republic, which means people elect representatives to do the right thing for them, and the problem here is a miz with capitalism, and bada bing bada boom, if ANY country can waste ALL its money on the US lobby, then the US will support that country all out no matter what. Power over Priciple is an international political realist ideology that says the US should do whats right, stand up for human rights across the globe, HOWEVER, personal domestic interests ALWAYS surpass the notion of standing up for oppresed, or, standing up for principle. The largest lobby in COngress is the AIPAC, look it up if you think Im shitting you, and the AIPAC stands for the American Israeli Political Action COmmittee. These son of a bitches are the ones that make it seem like most of Americans side with Israel. However, the truth is, most Americans, like allot of other people from other countries, dont know what the hell is really going on, and they dont really side with either one.
