Guest im not witty
my boy got a free set of cd mixers because his brother happened upon them where he works. now i know mixing cds is to mixing vinyl as fingerpaints are to picasso, BUT i still had a shit load of fun fucking around with them yesterday. i would never pay money for such a toy but i was wondering if there are pc programs that basically do the same thing? is this possible? anyone? anyone? bueller? effyoo
thee's some on kazaa for mp3's. Fuck I can't remember what it was called but, it had all the features of a mixer including a bpm counter, effects, blah blah blah. I'm sure you'll find it. RumPuncher
well most players (even winamp) offer ways to play 2 tracks and crossfade. But the big thing is 'realtime'. There's a heap of sound edditing apps that you can use to mix tracks like cubase, soundforge+acid, protools even, but they aren't really designed to emulate the mixer set-up. My co-worker just bought final scratch ... lucky bastard!

RumPuncher
get Acid. That's the best for the simple looping and laying vocals.
