Weapon X
Re: THE TRUTH SPOKEN Originally posted by alder The Truth About This Site...if you hadn't already noticed. Do you really think rap contributes to terrorism? Do you really hate hip hop? Yes, rap contributes to terrorism. When a would-be terrorist realizes that a terrible, fake, biting rapper like Ja Rule can take advantage of our capitalist system by marketing his music towards little girls, and make millions of dollars, while thousands of artists with skill are forced to work at McDonalds to feed their pre-teens (who just happen to be Ja Rule fans)--the terrorist begins to see how f*$%# up the system can be, and decides to attack it at its core. This is how rap can sponsor terrorism. And yes, we do hate hip hop--we hate hip hop that sucks ass, particularly the hip hop that is seen all over TV and on the radio, netting the artist and record label hundreds of millions of dollars, despite sucking the aforementioned ass. We hate a false form of hip hop that encourages the popularity of artists like Ja Rule and Nelly, which are contributing to the decline of African-American youth, rather than spreading hope and knowledge. Dead Prez, Talib Kweli, Paris, The Roots, and countless other rappers, are representing everything that this nation should be about--peace, understanding, equality, and most of all, a silent revolution, attempting to musically influence the road to a better America. Unfortunately, the most influential, positive, and informative hip hop is confined to places where the average person will never hear it. Is this site real? Yes, it's real, because you're looking at it right now, aren't you? The fact that it actually exists on your screen, on the internet, makes it real. The question is--does the site actually represent the real opinions of real people? The answer to that would be--yes. Real people do think this way. Real people in America do believe that people who do not question their government and support George W. Bush with whatever corrupt, undemocratic scheme he and his cronies may wish to perpetrate next, are "patriotic". These same "patriots" believe that individuals who seek to improve America, improve its foreign policies, democratic ideals, and human rights, by disagreeing with or disputing the official government's stance, are not patriotic, or "anti-American". Protesting the war is Anti-American? Interesting. It must mean that being a sheep to your Almighty Government is an American thing to do, right? Invading another country for power and greed is purely American, and anyone that disagrees with it is an enemy of the country? We'd have to disagree with that, fortunately. This is why this site exists. We don't attempt to use reverse psychology, or paint conservatives or "patriots" in a bad light. We only seek to expose the ridiculousness of their ideas, and the insanity of what they believe a "patriot" is. In fact, the inspiration for this site came from real people and real ideas--news networks like CNN and FoxNews, celebrities like Ann Coulter and Bill O'Reilly, and a multitude of sites and forums on the internet. Looking at the opinions of some, it would seem that Americans are deeply loyal to their government, even when their government blatantly lies or does something wrong, immoral, or just plain filthy. Apparently, the degradation of freedoms and the constant government-induced fear of terrorism is okay, as long as the Overlords in the Republican Party keep us safe and secure! That's not freedom, that's not democracy, that's not America--its more like Big Brother. The fact of the matter is, ignoring the people's voice (as well as world opinion) and listening only to close friends (or in GWB's case, daddy's friends), corporations, and dollars, all while continuously lying to the American people, is exactly what a democratic government is not supposed to do. Ironically enough, these so-called "patriotic" supporters of G.W. Bush are supporting precisely what is currently tearing America apart. Wake up, because the American dream seems to slowly be reaching its end. That is, until Dick and Bush are voted out of office--if "democracy" is still around by then. If you like what we're doing here, we'd appreciate your support! Your donations will help us pay for our forum and site hosting, as well as anything else we may need in the future to improve our site. where'd you find that in the site? Shit is hilarious, still. Esai
This sight has to be a joke. Look at the links, its a list of antiwar sights with snide comments in captions. All the conservative links on the bottom are targets of popular ridicule.
