Poppy Punk:

start with these basics:

Propagandhi (How to Clean Everything)

Godd Riddance (All albums sound just about the same)

Millencollin (For monkeys)(Pennybridge Pioneers)

Bad Religion (Whatever - I agree with most of the old shit by them)

7 seconds (Walk together, rock together)

Youth Brigade/Swingin' utters (split on BYO records)

A whole lotta shit put out by BYO is poppish. I dont know why you brought this to the forum, you can ask any dude a record store for some good pop-punk.

Anything by What Happens Next (hardcore)

7 Seconds - The Crew or Old School

it's going to be funny when everyone goes out buying the Charles Bronson discocrappy thinking it's a pop punk CD... They're pure HxC, bro

as for emo...

Saves The Day

Get Up Kids

Juliana Theory

...Those are my 3 favourite bands... onto the lesser emo/pop punk bands...

Braid

Silver Scooter

Face to Face

Rites of Spring

Policy of Three

Fugazi

At the Drive In

Sunny Day Real Estate (diary is their emo cd...)

Time for the REAL punk shit

Link 80 (kinda skaish)

Adolescents

Bikini Kill

Cheat to Win

Minor Threat

Charles Bronson

SPAZZ (not for the faint of heart)

What Happens Next

Capitalist Casualties

GG Allin

Jody Foster's Army

Orchid

Gang Green

Hemlock Verdict

The Oath

Life's Halt

Some of the last bands i listed are thrash and hxc... but definitely checkout Juliana Theory if you're into emo

i don't know much about SLAYER... someone told me they play infront of a huge swastika with swastikas on their guitars, so i never listened to them... but this could be just another rumor spoiling a good thing... i always just thought they were another speed metal band until the other day... oh well.
