while we're on the subject the trim was different on biscaynes than impalas as well as the interiors, same frame and coach though. the "5.7L" (it wasn't called a 5.7L until some time in the late eighties, i can't remember when) v8 didn't come till ten years later in 1968 with the first gen of the 350 cid motor. you won't catch me in a four door but with models that old they still won't be cheap. you could buy and hook up a lot of different cars for the same price as just redoing the crome on this one.

oh yeah they came with v8's but the 348 cid big block and 283 cid small block are not the same thing as the 5.7L motor which came out about 40 years later. Icey nerves had a good little late seventies vintage 350 cid in his elco, slapped the four barrel and an intake on a that bitch and it was off. nasty loc got a 327 cid in a 68 caprice that used to get the side show cracking at the the Bite hekka long ago. an i had a 62' with the LT1 (now that's a 5.7L) electronic overdrive an lemme tell you that muthafucka was dangerous!
