same as it ever was

i need to listen to more talking heads.. ive been on this trip for the past 2 days.. where i turn to whomever is standing next to me no matter where i am as long as theyre playing music... and ask them if its david byrne.. its funny

they usually kind of think about it for a second. then i just kind of walk away.. maybe im hard up for amusement. or easily amused.

SONG: Peace is Not the Word to Play

ARTIST: Mainsource

ALBUM: Breaking Atoms

(Peace!) Piece of what?

You can't mean P-E-A-C-E

Cause I've seen people on the streets

Shoot the next man and turn around and say peace

But that's leaving people in pieces

It's not what the meaning of peace is

To me it means the absence of all confusion

Not the oozing and brusing

That we're all so accumstomed to

Your friend got beef? I'll bust him too

What a brother from a certain way of life explained to me once, dunce

He didn't realize the fact that

He and myself were brothers on the same rope

Now last month he got hemmed up, huh, that's all she wrote

So I can get up where she left the exclamation

Looking for an explanation

Little kids think that peace is a word that you use to sound down

And I frown

Cause that's what I was told at eight years old

And now I'm trying to break the mold

So stop the dominoes

I think it's about time that everyone knows

The incorrect usage of the word "peace" has got to cease

Stop frontin (Stop frontin) Stop frontin, like you know what I'm saying

And on that note, I'll leave you with this

artist: aesop rock

album: daylight

song: bonus track

..

I know it's so "un-cool" to still be into ace rizzle, I personally am sick of hearing him brought up in conversation then having some loser be like, "have you ever heard of aesop rock?". I'll punch someone before the day is done.

this song wins my vote. my girlfriend got me a promo of this ep and mailed it to me in seattle as a valentine's day gift and I fell asleep while I was listening to it so yes, I found the hidden track by listening to 13 minutes of silence. but what a find.. this is the most excellent "emotional" rap song since ghostface 'all that I need'.

"in august of 2001 my seemingly splinter-proof brainboard scaffolding imploded, I kept it on the hush, but tumbling to the sidewalk on mere bodega trips for cigarettes and soda shook me to casper..."

Guest chicken bone

Song: The Fear

Artist: u-Ziq

I subtract my previous post. If I chose one 'electronica' song to listen to I would pick this one.

So beautiful!!!!!
