It has done that to me. Just let it go through its motions and you should be ok... (read: don't worry if the program doesn't respond for a few minutes. just wait it out, and it'll be all good.)

ATTN

If you download off of random people and you have your shares set to allow only people that are in your buddy list, make sure you add whoever the random person's name is so they don't ban you.

Alot of times when someone sees you downloading from them they'll check to see if you have anything they want, if it blocks them because they aren't in your buddy list, most of the time they will ban you from downloading their files.

bump.

i began to have problems logging into soulseek since yesterday. something about "name resolution"

so i found out how to solve this (if you have XP):

highlight this

38.115.131.131 sk2.slsk.org

38.115.131.131 www.slsk.org

38.115.131.131 mail.slsk.org

38.115.131.131 server.slsk.org

right click and chose copy

go to the windows folder on your hard drive usually c

find the folder called system32

open it

then find the folder called drivers

open it

find the folder called etc

there you will find a drivers file

click on it and chose a program from a list

chose notepad

then right click again and chose paste

close it and save changes

open soulseek!

hope this helps!
