At Cavanaugh Park

Where you used to take me

To play in the sand

And said to me, "Son, one day you'll be a man.

"And men can do terrible things."

Yes they can

And there was never any place

For someone like me to be

Totally happy

I'm running out of clock and that

Ain't a shock

Some things never do change

Never do change

At Cavanaugh Park

We used to get high

Watching teams as they fought

They loved my friend Adam

But he always got caught

Man, that kid made fucking up look cool

Aren't we all so cool now? No

I'd be lyin' if I said I wasn't hustlin' no more

i love that song too. ;] woop woop cormega

Dm - C (X2) (se repite toda la cancion)

I'm walking out for love

I'm walking bad really down like a cool breeze

I'm gonna be late again, 'Driver wait for me please!'

I'm running all in vain, trying to catch this fucking train

Time don't fool me no more

I throw my watch to the floor, it's so lazy

Time don't do it again,

Now I'm stressed and strained with anger and pain in the subway train

Now it's half past two - Long gone the rendez-vous

Now it's half past three - Time made a fool out of me

Now it's half past four - Baby can't you see

No use in waiting no more - It's a timing tragedy

A

I think it's nine when the clock says ten

This girl wont' wait for the out of time, out of time man

I'm with Tesser... it's instrumental. I'm not very into lyrics, so I tend to define my situation through melodies.

That said, my life right now would be akin to "Grey", by Datathief. Beer,

Surrounded by empty souls, artificial courage used

And because so, once was mine

I walk this maze alone

Black is all I feel, so this is how it feels to be free The man's beside himself, man's below himself Man's behind himself, Am I inside myself ALICE IN CHAINS

gold teeth and a curse for this town were all in my mouth.

only, i don't know how they got out, dear.

turn me back into the pet that i was when we met.

i was happier then with no mind-set.

new slang when you notice the stripes, the dirt in your fries.

hope it's right when you die, old and bony.

dawn breaks like a bull through the hall,

never should have called

but my head's to the wall and i'm lonely.

god speed all the bakers at dawn may they all cut their thumbs,

and bleed into their buns 'till they melt away.

i'm looking in on the good life i might be doomed never to find.

without a trust or flaming fields am i too dumb to refine?

and if you'd 'a took to me like

well i'd a danced like the queen of the eyesores

and the rest of our lives would 'a fared well.

man i think we got the same tastes. quicksand, embrace, split lip...were some of my favorite bands way back in like 94-95.

others from that era:

Split Lip:

"And i would change a thing, if the days were there for changing, i've learned enough from living"

Supertouch:

"the longer i think, the more i'm confused" (Maybe the lyric wasn't so profound, but i just like the way he sang it)

Jawbreaker:

"I know that i must try to break out of this hell i call my life, to go to sleep is just to hide away"

Heroin:

"I don't need a god, to make me feel that i'm right, cuz we are all so wrong. and who the fuck wants to live forever anyway?"

how about these.....

Split lip;

"Rise, but scream like fire! and in the night reside dance beneath the lightening! DRUMS AND SHOTGUNS sing me to sleep tonight, the sweet sound of fighting..it's nothing like i thought it might be.....

also from them...

"All done with this old place, with the romance of sunlight on your face, and friendships too much like disease.

Dear sovereign, im thinking that passion left town when your heart did, but you used to beat the bright out of the sky.

you steam meaning from seasons, break silence like a bone of mine. come closer or dont come at all. your under lock and key and i could break in, but ive never been a thief.

from Supertouch;

ive been drinking all night and ive been thinking that somthings just not right. thoughts focus in and fade out and then it seems, that this engine is running out of steam.....

also

some people guess and some people know. do you ever wonder who's letting it show?

some people.. they make this world ugly. they look donw on you..they look down on me, with their fake smiles..they make this world ugly..they look down on you, they look down on me..they look down..on us all...

ive seen too many people who make you feel like your not their eqaul....

great bands. huge parts of my life. glad to hear me and BUG arent the only people on here who know the deal.

"Some time ago a crazy dream came to me,

I dreamt I was walkin' into World War Three,

I went to the doctor the very next day

To see what kinda words he could say.

He said it was a bad dream.

I wouldn't worry 'bout it none, though,

They were my own dreams and they're only in my head.

I said, Hold it, Doc, a World War passed through my brain.

He said, Nurse, get your pad, this boy's insane,

He grabbed my arm, I said Ouch!

As I landed on the psychiatric couch,

He said, Tell me about it.

Well, the whole thing started at 3 o'clock fast,

It was all over by quarter past.

I was down in the sewer with some little lover

When I peeked out from a manhole cover

Wondering who turned the lights on.

Well, I got up and walked around

And up and down the lonesome town.

I stood a-wondering which way to go,

I lit a cigarette on a parking meter

And walked on down the road.

It was a normal day.

Well, I rung the fallout shelter bell

And I leaned my head and I gave a yell,

Give me a string bean, I'm a hungry man.

A shotgun fired and away I ran.

I don't blame them too much though,

I know I look funny.

Down at the corner by a hot-dog stand

I seen a man, I said, Howdy friend,

I guess there's just us two.

He screamed a bit and away he flew.

Thought I was a Communist.

Well, I spied a girl and before she could leave,

Let's go and play Adam and Eve.

I took her by the hand and my heart it was thumpin'

When she said, Hey man, you crazy or sumpin',

You see what happened last time they started.

Well, I seen a Cadillac window uptown

And there was nobody aroun',

I got into the driver's seat

And I drove down 42nd Street

In my Cadillac.

Good car to drive after a war.

Well, I remember seein' some ad,

So I turned on my Conelrad.

But I didn't pay my Con Ed bill,

So the radio didn't work so well.

Turned on my record player

It was Rock-A-Day, Johnny singin',

Tell Your Ma, Tell Your Pa,

Our Loves Are Gonna Grow Ooh-wah, Ooh-wah.

I was feelin' kinda lonesome and blue,

I needed somebody to talk to.

So I called up the operator of time

Just to hear a voice of some kind.

When you hear the beep

It will be three o'clock,

She said that for over an hour

And I hung it up.

Well, the doctor interrupted me just about then,

Sayin, Hey I've been havin' the same old dreams,

But mine was a little different you see.

I dreamt that the only person left after the war was me.

I didn't see you around.

Well, now time passed and now it seems

Everybody's having them dreams.

Everybody sees themselves walkin' around with no one else.

Half of the people can be part right all of the time,

Some of the people can be all right part of the time.

But all of the people cant be right all of the time.

I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

I'll let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours,

I said that."
