just put it this way all the great ones are the ones that everyone knows the lyrics too (e.g.)

I grew up on the crime side, the New York Times side

Staying alive was no jive

At second hands, moms bounced on old men

So then we moved to Shaolin land

A young youth, yo rockin the gold tooth, 'Lo goose

Only way, I begin to gee off was drug loot

And let's start it like this son, rollin with this one

And that one, pullin out gats for fun

But it was just a dream for the teen, who was a fiend

Started smokin woolies at sixteen

And running up in gates, and doing hits for high stakes

Making my way on fire escapes

No question I would speed, for cracks and weed

The combination made my eyes bleed

No question I would flow off, and try to get the dough all

Sticking up white boys in ball courts

My life got no better, same damn 'Lo sweater

Times is ruff and tuff like leather

Figured out I went the wrong route

So I got with a sick ass click and went all out

Catchin keys from across seas

Rollin in MPV's, every week we made forty G's

Yo nigga respect mine, or anger the tech nine

Ch-chick-POW! Move from the gate now

and who can forget :

I bomb atomically, Socrates' philosophies

and hypothesis can't define how I be droppin these

mockeries, lyrically perform armed robbery

Flee with the lottery, possibly they spotted me

Battle-scarred shogun, explosion when my pen hits

tremendous, ultra-violet shine blind forensics

I inspect you, through the future see millenium

Killa B's sold fifty gold sixty platinum

Shacklin the masses with drastic rap tactics

Graphic displays melt the steel like blacksmiths

Black Wu jackets queen B's ease the guns in

Rumble with patrolmen, tear gas laced the function

Heads by the score take flight incite a war

Chicks hit the floor, diehard fans demand more

Behold the bold soldier, control the globe slowly

Proceeds to blow swingin swords like Shinobi

Stomp grounds and pound footprints in solid rock

Wu got it locked, performin live on your hottest block

dont sleep on the wu-fam!

sunz of man and killarmy are fuckin amazing. maybe lyrically they cannot touch wu-tang, but some of their beats are just that grimey.

'doomsday' by killarmy is a personal fave. soo many ill sunz of man tracks too....hip hop fury, tai chi, wake up, next up, cold, etc

this is DOOMSDAY, for emcees with hollow skills

who talk about clothing articles and dollar bills

and the fake-ass rides that they dont even drive

hip hop's WAR, only strong emcees'll survive

wu tang gets a lot of play from me.

best album:enter the wu tang 36 chambers

my favorite solo album:supreme clientele

ghostface is definetly on point lyrically and same goes for the rest of the wu.some of my favorite tracks...

one, triumph, ice cream, cream, shame on a nigga, actually everything on 36 chambers, heaterz(this is a really hot ass joint),verbal intercourse, its yours, for heavens sake, wake the fuck up, daytona 500, BIBLE, shadowboxing, theres way too many to name...

seriously if they did put together a cd with all their dopest songs that shit would take up five cd's.they put out more good songs than any other hip hop group out there and every single member is on point.too bad their shit went downhill..

im currently trying to collect every wu-fam song ever. it will comprise a large chunk of my ipods directory. wutang is the only thing i believe in.

anyway.

favorite wu album: (tie) 36 chambers and forever.

36 chambers is probably the best debut album ive ever seen anyone drop. its fucking grimey as hell and just kills everything with overwhelming awesomeness. HOWEVER forever came out 4 years later and the double lp was really kind of a "masterpiece" in my eyes, it doesnt lose the rawness of 36 chambers, but it is somewhat more "polished" feeling. 2 solid disks of fucking awesomeness.

favorite wu single: triumph.

its been said a few times on here. this songs tight as fuck.

favorite wu solo album: only built for cuban linx (raekwon) or supreme clientele (ghostface).

both are simply awesome.

wu fam spinoff group: killa army

wutang = kung fu

killa army = war

both "silent weapons for quiet wars" and "dirty weaponry" are ill. if you arent up on killa army then get the fuck on it.

favorite killa army track: doomsday

"Layin in the dark war trench

Covered in mud strong corpse stench

Monkey wrench, adjusting my mic, fatigues drenched

From soldiers insides, scriptures hidden up in my archives

Dodge and throw knives hand to hand combat takin lives"
