Did you hear it start to finish, and it had no words? Or you just caught the last minute or two, which was instrumental, but there could have been words earlier?

You might try some of the guitar god-type stuff. SRV, Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, some of them have done acoustic instrumental stuff that might make the radio (or sound "classic rock-ish"). Or maybe Santana, Zeppelin, somebody covering "Little Wing" acoustically...dunno what to tell ya, they're right that you would make a lousy witness.

On the practical tip, if you want to just find some good acoustic instrumental guitar stuff, and maybe run across your song by accident:

Van Halen-Spanish Fly, Little Guitars (intro)

Stevie Ray Vaughn-Riviera Paradise

Eric Johnson-Song for George, Desert Song

Joe Satriani-Brother John, Midnight, Tears in the Rain

Just a couple off the top of my head, I'm forgetting some good stuff.
