THE FACES OF EVIL

http://supct.law.cornell.edu/supct/justices/images/thomas.jpg'>

i truly believe that both of these men are evil and serve the dark forces. this is no joke. both of them are fanatic right wingers- no liberal counterparts exist on the supreme court to balance their views. scalia sides with the religious right, viewing the constution as a "dead" document. both oppose abortion, gay rights, affirmative action, you name it...

thomas is a disgrace and a dirty liar at best. the man put his hand on a bible and swore to tell the truth during his 1991 senate judiciary committee confirmation hearing that he had never:

1. thought about abortion in his adult life

2. discussed it with any adult

3. had any preconceived notions regarding abortion...

actually, his own sister had an abortion in previous years, he had given an anti-abortion rights speech to the Heritge foundation in previous years, and that he had been a fucking law student at Yale in 1973 when the Roe v. Wade decision was announced and hotly debated all over campus.

BUT THERE ARE MORE COMING FOR US.

this week bush and his buddies try to push through Miguel Estrada into the supreme court. it begins the 26th.

http://www.projecthonduras.com/images/estrada.jpg'>

homeboy is a latino clarence thomas, who will, along with his other two buddies, will serve the right wing extremists for 30+ years should he be approved. HE HAS ABSOLUTELY NO EXPERIENCE AS A JUDGE, and is widely known for his fanatical right wing views. bush & co have been on a rampage trying to stir up some (as they put it) "hispanic" support for estrada. MY LATINO PEOPLE, please don't be fooled. homeboy has gotten the gas face from even the most moderate of latino politicians, including Jose Serrano and Nydia Velazquez. serrano said, " he wouldn't even acknowledge that there has been discrimination against latinos in america. he seemed lost, like he had never been involved in any struggle to better the lives of hispanics. he had no comprehension of Latino history and suffering." the hispanic caucus, along with the puerto rican legal defense and education fund, has formally opposed estrada's confirmation. the mexican american legal defense fund and other latino civil rights organizations are expected to follow suit.

i'm no zealot. i do not believe that all conservatives are evil, not at all. i appreciate balance. the problem that i have with these justices is that they are extremists. there is no balance in the supreme court and it is becoming worse. these men are liars and worse. they have no right interpreting the law for the people of the united states.

evil is out there doing it's thing. don't doubt it for a minute.

You referred to him as "homeboy", that's wrng and you know it. He's a judge, he the "honorable Homeboy...". I don't like many of his views but on the other hand I really don't want some extreme liberal as a judge. I want there to be a happy medium but until I find that...i'll stick to vandalism.

Good to hear someone politically interested. If youre latino or whatever, please use some enrgy to get minorities and the poor to vote, we need all the help we can get against these rich crackers and fucken malinches and uncle toms. It disgusts mee how Bush acts like just because he has some black faced sellouts in token positions that he cares about civil rights, or human beings at all for that matter.

how sad...our supreme court is being turned into a forum for right wing religious zealots..

between this and dubyah's new foreign policy, i'm truly saddened by what our country represents.

a few days ago i was reading a white house press conference

transcript and somebody brought up estrada....fleischer basically

said he was an excellent candidate and promptly(i think, its hard

to tell from transcript) moved onto the next question...

he was getting roasted on bush's comments about the democrats

in the senate not passing the homeland security bill becuz they

were concerned more with special interests than the american

publics safety...bush league as usual.

anyhow.......you got any updates on these

highly pedophiliac looking men?

are you all really that suprised bush would try and cram the supreme court with right wing nutjobs? he made that pretty clear just by declaring his stance on abortion....

i have a feeling these next couple of years are going to be a prime example of how easily our goverment can fulfill its agenda....i mean, my god....look at the republicans scrambling for a reason to invade iraq and on top of it all basically telling the world that regardless of what anyone says they will do it anyway...real sorry someone tried to kill daddy...mabey there should be some thought put into the crumbling financial status of our country instead of cheneys private intrests and the presidents personal vendetas...

i guess this is a good time for a "god bless america".....ppppfffhhhhh

brown & co, i haven't been able to get SHIT on this story. the last thing i found was this , about how estrada's hearing was beginning. also included was his bio, which i would recommend checking for. i'll do more research, but haven't found much yet.

Just as a clarification, Estrada was not nominated to the Supreme Court, but rather the DC Appellate Court. It's not the highest court in the land, but as the CNN article mentions, it has historically been a stepping stone to the Supreme Court.

From the article:

"The court, considered one of the most important courts in America, currently has four vacancies and eight active judges: four Republicans and four Democrats. In addition to being a steppingstone to the Supreme Court, it also decides cases that determine how federal agencies regulate topics like gas prices, clean air and water, labor practices and campaign finance reform."
