a simple tackle that ended up fucking up his hip which in turn began a degenerative (sp) hip disease....there was an attempt at reconstruction but to no avail....he played basebal a little longer but never was the same....

 

yeah he used to break the bat over his thigh when he struck out....intense

i forget what it was called......

he had some pretty tight hair.

i had some baseball cards too, but not

much...baseball never really got me..

but i did have those nhl sticker booklets,

anyone remember those..??

i used to get those big fat ass pouches of

shredded gum, and pretend i was a baseball

player and jam it into my mouth like it was

tobacco. and whatever happened to chocolate

and banana flavoured popsicles??? popsicles used

to cost 10cents when i was a kid. now they go for

60 to 80cents...i mean, christ, its flavoured water guys..

i haven't seen those foam wwII put together

bomber glider things for years either...

and popeye cigarettes......

me and my girlfriend were at

the coffee shop yesterday and they had these

things called 'mutant pops'..?!? candy

just isn't the same....

i remember in my childhood friends bedroom...he collected all the mets shit and there was one cover of SI....and it said "the straw the stirs the mets", and it had daryl in the after swing position, perfect.....

 

 

i saw a special on ozzie a couple of weeks ago....wow....i never knew how nasty that guy was...

 

my hero ofcourse was donnie mattingly......

 

but yeah i totally fell off all this....just changed flavors i guess...but man i was into it....

- strawberry is in jail i believe for violating his parole for the umpteenth time. crack head. he's still the man though.

 

and Bo had to have hip replacement surgury. fucked it playing football so they put in a new hip and hip joint made of some serious steel product. they didn't think he would ever walk again but "Bo showed them!". super rehab, played in the minors for a while, got back to the majors for a quick stint and finally retired.
