sadly, emit, this production including jive, cycle and jick was so heayily protested by the city of Danbury that it was painted over...dont worry, they will get theirs. the whole thing looked dope as hell too but it was just shy of being finished so no flick exists of the wall with the most recent backround.

yo emit if your readin this stuff, i would strooonnngly suggest you relook at your old stuff and try to do new letters with those letter bases just up to date, at least for the guys who agree with me , do a "retro" emit piece for me, kinda like the old nikes comin out with new colors. lol .

damn his old shit was soo hard, like that one baby blue piece with the red outline, withthe red circles inside. maaaaaaaaaan!! they dont makem like that anymore.

I appreciate the compliment..but I have to say that, in my opinion, my style has to evolve to the next level. If I was doing the same ol' stuff I would feel stagnant...Jive had a good comparison. He said look at A Tribe Called Quest..we like their old albums better, but I'm sure they like their new stuff more... I guess it's an evolution from experience.

this flick is nice and large so you get to see what it was like in the background. the criminal minded was still there back then..mmmmmm.

yeah. i loved his big ol thick shit from back then. thick letters, chunky outlines. not that he's any slouch now, but that shit still makes my ass twitch. i wish more people played around with that style..big outlines faded over the next letter. its all ive been drawing lately. im skeptical of weather or not i should paint those styles. its my letters, but just real early 90's approach.

oh well. go emit!

I miss that bridge....nothing like that place in Denver.

People bitch and moan too much. Why would you want anyone to re-do stuff they have already done? Who wants to see the same thing over and over. If you like the older stuff then keep liking it. Its not as if your going to not like it anymore, its not going to change it still exists, in your memory, flicks or whatever. People have to move on. I give Emit big-ups for not being stuck in a rut like alot of other writers. Its hard to keep your work evolving. His newer stuff is cleaner and smoother. I like Emits pieces because alot of them are simple looking but in reality are pretty complex. I think the inexperianced dont see that. And DirtySanchez I think you need to keep in mind that Emit is not painting for you but for himself as anyone should be. If he's happy with his work thats all that matters because regardless if you like it or not, his stuff is good.

Thats my rant for now.

dude... to diss emit is the most blatant act of stupidity ever. this dude has rocked everything... and this whole thread proves that, yet you fucks ramble as if you were certified graff critics... the fact is, YOU are not getting up, assfuck. Lay off emit... he's killin shit and you're just wankin' off at your comp to his color schemes.... jealous fucker. keep doing what you do emit, i'm sure you're used to these hating bitches by now.

you all need to chill.... styles come and go. This is as true in graff as it is in anything else. Think about it this way, in '93 we were all wearin HUGE jncos (before you could get them at BoBs) , and super oversized Fresh Jive t-shirts... now most of us have made the evolution to clothes that actually fit us. Heres the kicker, though; the big clothes might come back into style again...

I've always liked Emits pieces, not because of his "cool" letters or fills or his ability to hang with trends, but because when he paints, its totally natural. Nothing in his style, then or now, is forced... and that is what makes him great.

Evolution is circular.. lets just hope that MC Hammer pants aren't part of the circle.

too wavy gravey, your new stuff is, not thought out, it looks like your painting withthe intentions of being clean and not focusing on letter structure, ,, nigga throw a fat cap on there and do a outline like 93, with a true blue or flat black. please.......... lol

( if he only knew what we meant) ...sigh

if someone told me my old shit was dope, i would at least be open about what things people thought where dope, and try to keep that in mind. not just be on some, "oh, my new shit is just more advanced, yo wouldnt understand" .

thats not what u said, but thats how i see it.

ya old shit was, not just better then alot, but really nasty nasty nasty, like the kind of nasty that people who get "good" at graff still dont have. u need to realize that there was somethin there, that i honestly dont think you have anymore, no matter how many pieces you do or how clean they are. sorry dogs.......

Thats cool......you are right about the old "e" and that freight. But thats just one example. That freight was done in a period of time where I didn't paint very much......I just came off wack......everyone has good and bad days. That piece you like could use a 3d. It's cool you liked my work at some point in my graff career, and thats a compliment..thanks. as for where I'm at now, I always look back at older shit for ideas so I could bring em back or redo them in a different way....

I like the newer stuff cause It isn't so stiff...I want to have a good flow in a burner.

no need to apologize Sanchez

I really hope the big clothes don't come back..actually, it seems some people still wear em'. I'm gonna rock my MC Hammer pants next time I do a FR8. I guess that would make it hard to run if needed. I'm just curious about this comment... "his ability to hang with trends" ???
