the first day in k.c. we saw john's last whole car[freshly stamped].....last night we were listening to at the drive in,and i remembered one day playing a live tape were before napoleon solo omar said something like remember to tell your friends how much you love them ,cause one day they could be gone.john picked me up like 10 minutes later to go paint, and i told him how lucky i was to have him as a friend....not knowing in 2 short months he would be gone.to all friends ,and family[or the average 12 0z.member]i can honesty say no one has had a greater impact on my life then him,and no one ever will.every thing we do is in your honor..rest in power john ,a true hero....the next eggplant parm is on me.back to the top buddy....

Jersey will never be the same. I can't put to words how deeply moved I was after reading these messages of love and remembrance...

This is the first time in a couple years that I've cried.

I've driven drunk before (alone), and I guarantee many of you have done similarly, if not alone. I was too far gone to realize I had even driven home until the next afternoon. Luckily it was an eight-block drive and I must have been guided by the hands of an unseen force...

If my friends hadn't left the party early I wouldn't have had the desire to leave, and I simply would have passed out on a couch. By leaving someone alone and allowing them the liberty to make a perhaps unconscious decision to drive, that's almost as stupid as piling into a car with a drunk driver - pure insanity!

Moral: Take the initiative to be responsible for your friends (even enemies), and if you need to drink, make sure you never drink alone. Scary things happen.

Just some random musings. Thought I'd share one of my experiences.

To all John's friends and family: my prayers go out to you.
