nickcook
i think the wet looks seem to have a sheen on the paper label after they started getting made in LA as well as New York and Chicago ,that is why some look better than others ,seems to be like that with mine anyway

Slyle CMC
So I was reading about this Evapo Rust in a trade magazine. It got some good reviews, so I went and picked up a can to try out on a few rusty cans I had laying aroud. Before.... After an Overnight soak.... No scrubbing or anything, just wiped off with paper towel when I was done. Not bad, obviously the rust removed the shiny coating so the rings are still tarnished. Overall I was happy with the item, and worked better than using steal wool which tends to make it not look right....

Slyle CMC
Most of the rust staining on the front picture probably woulda came off with a good cleaning, but the rims and the seam would have needed something stronger. Overall pretty happy with how the product worked, now I am trying it on a few other cans. One bottle cost about $9 but wonder how many times I can use it till it wil not work anymore. You have to submerge the cans in it anywhere from 30 mins to overnight. 30 mins showed improvement, but overnight worked best.

nickcook
anyone ever seen that Pompian green 72 rust before on ebay that is a nice can
Slyle CMC
There is alot of custom rusto colors that no one has ever seen. That is a really nice one. Off the top of my head in the older style label Flamebeau Red and Eastern Brown are two and I know I have seen one or two more. Certainly rare and probably well worth whatever the reserve is. HAL
Be careful with that Evapo-Rust or any other rust removers. If the can is extremely decayed, the rust might be the only thing holding the pressure in the can. The way that type of cleaner works is by converting the oxygen out of the rust. Just a caveat that you might wind up with a leaker after letting it sit overnight. I've used CLR quite a bit in the past, and if you let it soak long enough, it will eat the rust off a 100 year old rail spike. I found a bunch of great ones on a trip to Cape Cod a few years ago. The old spikes there were extremely rusty. My guess is from the close proximity of the ocean and salty, sandy soil. Either way, i pulled the spikes out of a week long CLR bath and they were eroded all the way down to the clean metal. Amazing stuff.

PJAY ONE
150 something on that farmer. Reserve not met wow! Great can That can is rarer and worth more than any Icy Grape or Jungle. Too bad folks spend drop their loot on scraps and empties. They should save those pennies for cans like the farmer brown. If it ain't FULL, it's BULL!
