JohnnyHorton
haha, in my defence I'm going to say that I've never read Ishmael, or any Ayn Rand ... I did however know she was a capitalist ... but I don't really care about that, I was curious, I just finished a different book and that was the first thing I found lying around

mental invalid
okay look, i gotta alot of shit to do at work, but since im a 9-5er on 12oz, i wanna get this in....capitalism is not a bad thing as long as it is responsible...its been around for centuries just taking on many forms....ayn rand is a capitalist, but only because its the only economic theory that meshes with her philosophy of the individual....the problem is when people just sorta lump her with everything so called bad, ah whatever, another topic with "capitalism"...but capitalism as a theory is not bad....the reason she is not a fan of welfare or socialism or any other ism, is because she feel it makes the person dependent on another...it gives one person power over another and it inhibits a person from meeting their ideal potential...it does not mean cut throat or leave people behind or only look out for yourself.....she believes in helping a fellow man out, and if you read any of her books, normally its what the main character does through his own action does....he or she raises the level of those who want to raise their levels and gives the people strength and love to do so....she is so misunderstood and it irks the shit outta me.... gotta run......... Care to give me a jist? sannyasa: it is at the base of hinduism essentially. but it has a lot of buddhist-type thought involved too. and it is not limited to hindus. agnosticism is the only required base really. from there it goes into renunciation (as most eastern religions do), and such. it has another name, i can't think of it though. suffism or something similar, thats not right... ugh. but yeah, its hard as fuck to find anything on it. my book on it has no publisher or copyright date in it.
