These are some of my all time favorites. must see. in no particular order, new and old, they are...

The Warriors -Duh. One of the finest films ever made. Seriously. So what if some parts are corny.

Sorcerer -Ill...fucking ill movie. Truck full of explosives going through the rainforest with a spacy Tangerine dream soundtrack....and a classic "what the fuck?" 70´s ending.

The Conversation -dope. another "what the fuck" 70´s ending. both inspiring and depressing.

Joe the King -About fucked up childhood...really, really good. Trust me.

Jacob´s ladder -Sad and scary. super well done.

The Thing (1980 remake)- This is the way scary movies should be made...dope ending.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1976 remake)- see above^.

Bullitt -this movie is so cool...if you watch it some of the coolness might rub off on you. Steve McQueen was the man.

Taxi Driver -Great because it has a happy ending. good soundtrack too.

The Shining -Duh.

Apocalypse Now -Duh.

Magnolia -like Silo told me...it´s worth it for the frog scene.

Who´ll Stop the rain -Makes you want to drink beer, listen to Creedence clearwater Revival, and read Jung.

Amores Perros -Seen it three times...classic movie. Artsy..gritty..fucked up stories.

Dawn of the Dead -really, really dope movie about zombies taking over the earth and shopping malls. It´s unexplainable, but there´s just something about this movie....

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon -It´s got dope kung fu fights AND it´ll make you cry.

Burning Paradise -more dope kung fu drama.

There´s lots more...but this´ll do for now...

A little boy is fascinated by the old Italian cinemas. He likes collecting the clips from film that is being discarded due to the church’s censorship. He soon starts to work in the cinema as a child and carries on through his teens. As the times and lives change, his love of the theater and film remain constant. He leaves his cinema behind to become a business man in the real world, only to return later in life as an adult reminiscing about the years gone by.

  • 5 months later...

every child of the 80's knows you should check out Death Trap because it's twisted... and you should see Angel Heart for the Lisa Bonet sex scenes, then actually read the book Fallen Angel by William Hjortsberg because it's so much better...
