i think this is a valid part of the training bible, before you newer kids go out and ruin things i suggest you aquire a suface similar to this to practice on, its just fiberglass that i got by chance but you can go to any place that sells wood and get a few peices of tempered hardboard(the shit they make sk8 ramps out of)they are like 8 bucks each, and just go crazy on em, you may need to prime them first though they arent so good to paint without a coat of paint on em already. you got alot of time this summer dont waste it painting things that will embarrass you in a year.

I don't know what to make of this thread. I personally think a person shouldn't rely on such a thing to learn how to do graffiti. Magazines are cool but they're also the reason why theres hardly a style difference from different places. As far as buying some wood to paint on, I would have to say thats pretty wack. Maybe you'll learn how to paint a little bit better but your not going to have any experiance. Go paint. Find some cool piece spots and paint. You can't be a sheltered child your whole life, painting in the safety of your backyard. That's not gonna teach you shit. Maybe because I'm from NYC and out here you have to know how to survive. Shit isn't sweet like it is in alot of other places. You have to learn to paint under pressure. That's what makes graffiti ill. You have "normal" artists who sit in their studio painting real nice shit. Then you have writers who are painting shit in the street, yard, or where ever. This is what seperates us. This is just my opinion I suggest that no one take it to heart.
