nas - illmatic

ill flows, shows hip hop can be more than bragging and making threats.

biggie - ready to die, life after death

great albums. biggie had incredible flow and did what was thought impossible, had rhymes with mainstream appeal and street credibility.

eminem - all albums

one of the best lyricists to ever hold a mic. showed that white boys could bring skill as well as showing that someone could be mainstream and still bring incredible lyricism and flow. dont hate.

public enemy - first 2 albums

was really the first political rappers. showed rap could be more than feel good party music.

jay-z - reasonable doubt

incredibly smooth flow. wished he hadnt changed his style.

any 2pac shit

one of the greatest rappers ever, if not the greatest. you could feelthe music.
