toyeattoywar Posted September 3, 2002 Share Posted September 3, 2002 on another note when it comes to dealing with police. in the united states if you are not a minor it is not illegal to refuse cops your identification if you are not driving a car or if they have not seen you do anything illegal. i will reiterate, if you are driving you must present id, if you have been caught doing something ILLEGAL you must show a cop your id if you have it with you. this is a right in every state that i know of. dont let the police mess with your heads either, they will tell you its illegal and that it is mandatory but it is not. as some people already know and some will eventually learn police have a very reoccuring tendency to lie to you to get what they want out of the situation and they also have a tendency to make up laws as they go along. most police do not know their laws very well ehich is why it is good as it was said before to read know your rights by the aclu. they will tell you that you will be ticketed or arrested for noncompliance or something thereof, they are lieing. they will tell you that you will get worse charges as it goes on, they are lying to you. i know that this sounds pretty crazy but it is the truth, if they say they will have to call their superior officers and have a meeting, let them. it is not illegal. i highly recommend to anybody reading this to research it for yourself and to not take my word for it. you can look into it at an aclu website and at most copwatch websites. it is also not illegal to tape record (audio) your conversations with the police as long as one person in the conversation is aware that they are being recorded, that one person CAN be you. it is also not illegal to videotape officers while on duty although they will swear time and time again that it is but i highly recommend having a witness or two present for this while doing so and one of them videotaping you in action to reassure that there is no brutality involved because police tend to frown on the activity of videotaping them while in action (if you are considering videotaping a police officer, again do not take my word for it look into your local laws yourself). if you decide to videotape a police officer in action please try to keep the videocamera on the officer at all times after taking one videoshot of the suspect. the reason for this is because by video taping the suspect it is possible to catch them in the act of doing something illegal and the video can be used to incriminate them. keep your lens on the officer. look to make sure that the suspect is not doing anything illegal at the time before videotaping them. editnote:it is only legal to record(audio) police officers in texas and one other state, i was mistaken about this fact. this is a very good example, if you plan on using these techniques do your research into your own local laws. I tagged a door to a restaurant in my city with a black pilot. 2 sorority bitches saw it and called the jakes. i ditch my marker in the river and engage in a classic chase. i try to ditch a stack of my stickers and a silver deco pen, but the cops find it and are calling it evidence. they do NOT have the pilot that did the tag, but they DO have stickers that have the same word as the tag....am i screwed? the sorostitute witnesses supposedly ID'd me cuz i wore camos....but it was a dark night and they were a good 100 ft. away or more. without the pilot what case do they have...can they match unused stickers to the tag on the door? can i say i just FOUND the stickers despite the coincidence? now they want to trace every tag in the city i've done to me because of this, which WILL be a felony and WILL cost 1,000's of $$$$. should i just confess to the single restaurant tag saying I was mocking my hero this one time because i FOUND his stickers? its fucked up anyway, somebody drop some advice if you can. LONG STORY SHORT: DON'T LET COPS INTIMIDATE YOU, CAUSE AFTER YOU REALIZE WHAT THEY SAID/DONE, YOU MAY FIND OUT THAT YOU COULD HAVE RESISTED AND BE TOTALLY LEGAL IN DOING SO. hysterical Posted October 21, 2002 Share Posted October 21, 2002 i got fucked. what do i do? tonight i was drivin around. i was at a stoplight and i had the sudden urge to spray a stencil on a sign next to me. i had a couple stencils in my back seat along with a can of black krylon. nobody was around, it seemed fine. so i got out of my car, sprayed it real quick, and got back in. as i got back in a cop pulls up behind me. (wtf made me want to spray a stencil, and why was a cop the only other car around.... why do these things happen..?) well i got caught. i tried to be as honest as possible saying stuff like "i know... i have no excuse, i have nothing to say to defend myself". we both knew i was fucked. well he confiscated my stencils, paint, and about a half dozen other stencils out of my trunk. i'm supposed to be getting a court hearing in the mail soon, and now i have to go to court. i have no criminal record, so this is my first offence of any kind. what's going to happen to me? what should i do at court? i've never been. can someone give me some pointers? if possible, could someone give me their AIM screen name or something so i can talk about this more? i really need help, i dont know what to do..... this fucking sucks. :( Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

They will charge you for the stencil that you did, and try to get you to confess to doing other stuff. If you dont say anything incriminating, youl probly just have to do community service.
