that poet reminds me of resets newer stuff. Those AC4400s are nice. I love being next to a big long string of diesels as they go by. I watched CP move a string of about 7 into a shop once...I think they had a AC4400 (maybe a SD90MAC or a Dash8, I dont remember) at the front with another one behind it, and 4 or 5 SD40-2s behind that. the ground just shook as it went by real slow...

good post.

"OPERATION CLEAN SWEEP" is a a helpful KICK IN THE ASS for workers at plants where RESIN HOPPERS are used.

resin is small "pebbles" of plastic material that gets melted into plastic bags(extrusion plants) computer keyboards/parts(injection molding plants)

some resins are color(not in hoppers)

some are "HDPE" High Density PolyEthylene(not in hoppers)

most hoppers that carry resin are "LLDPE" Linear Low Density PolyEthylene.

their's at least 5 or 6 more.

HERE'S THE DEAL:

when hooking the hopper-car up to the "hoses"

for transport "into" the plant, resin spills out during connection and dis-connection,on the ground,it rains, the resin gets into the water drains.

so these stickers are directed to the workers to "SWEEP" up the mess when done.

beleive me i had to do it at a polyethylene plant!!! not fun.

P.S. also i had to write the "acfx" #'s

on the chalkboard inside the plant to know which hoses were coming from what hopper with what kind of resin, so i leard early in life about the importance of respecting NUMBERS!!!!!!!

PEACE?
