BUT..I found myself in a similar situtation, I really didn't know the guy, but he knew my girl had a boyfriend, and well a beating was applied, but then I was hemmed up by the cops and spent too much money on a lawyer and all that bull....so if you beat him, like others suggested be sure you kill him, and hide the body well.
