Guest MRBURNS Posted August 7, 2002 Share Posted August 7, 2002 SEEKING seeking what?? the true meaning of graffiti in idaho???? im gonna admit, i been painting for a while now, and i;ve seen a lot of stuff. i've flipped thru scribble magazine before, and i seen some kid who writes pose who looked pretty skilled. from a nyc point of view. however, how could u not acknowledge pose2 fx?? or for that matter, pose2 uw from the late 80's-early 90's? a man who not only did full scenery by himself, but pushed the limits of creepy styles as well as 3d styles way before daim and hesh and these kids ever made the pit stop in america? emit seems to be one of the people doing nicer stuff out there than a lot of people. but he's from ct. and used to paint with some pretty creative dudes. so i dont consider him a midwest writer at all. and as far as buying a magazine with 10 jaser pieces, and a bunch of stuff by five, merz, sagent and sear..and all these kids..i'd rather spend my 5 dollars on a juke box. good to u, doesnt mean good to the world. CMW is a dope crew, productions on the howard line my man. I am just calling like I see them. And I see a lot of old pose in that piece, the flow of the letters, the thick to thin, the coloring. I am not talking about his stuff nowadays, I am talking about his stuff from like 98. Its not to dis, but a lot of HEADS seem to be staight jacking him and Cove, and then everyone on here thinks that is the Chicago style. Maybe it is now, but when they were not blown up in magazines people were too scared to bite...maybe I am a grumpy old man. But if you take things at least know why and where it came from. But if you have looked through scribble for a while, perhaps you saw the interview with Pose 2 a couple years ago. I think that is acknowledgement. And aparently since I made a comment about the green piece in here I am poser's representation. The only thing I can say is that he is from Chicago. A place of many writers (at least there used to be), one where two seperate kids at different times wrote the name SEEN and got up and noticed. There are only so many good names out there, and if you work with one for a while you dont really want to change it even if someone else has had it....but maybe all the Poser-Pose 2 comparisons is why he is now writing a second name...
