just to make clear, the above

photo selections is a superbly

inept overview of the volume of

stuff he's done. find the book,

you'll see.

Brown, i'm on it...

it always makes me wonder you know, sometimes you see a bunch of someones stuff and you're still not convinced or motivated, i hardly know what it is, and someother times you see a grayscaled text and a bike and you get the message...i'll look for it, the only thing to clarify is if he's as dope as he seems or you made a really appealing collection, lol

i don't know man, he's extra crispy dope to me....

your tastes may be a bit more refined in certain

areas.....................he's just a dope guy in general

on top of being a dope artist..........

the book is, i think, 65 color flicks, 65 b&w......

lots of shit i've never seen that blew me away...

i won't even get into details....

they also had the best basquiat book i've ever

seen there.....fuckin' huge ass book with a

bagillion full page/full color paintings....both were

expensive:(

 oh no! apparently i'm saying too much

lately............................................

uh.........hmm..........what to say................

...um....yeaaaaaaaano??

really, lately i've been getting smacked around

by basquiat. i couldn't tell you why other than

the primitive shit is intriguing me lately. i don't like

all his shit, not by a long shot, but some of it

is..........i'm liking it. sorry:)

please don't hate on me:) ;) :D

aserine...it does look boring. i'm trying to tell

you the book is full of wicked shit. but even

then..its probly boring. he's one of these guys

that you read about as well as look at his shit.

he's an interesting guy(to me anyhow).

yup.

:heated: OK, i just might never talk to you again:lol::lol::lol:

Seriously though, and just for the record, i aint got beef with his work, its ok but rather insignificant to me, its the whole story/background/hype that bothers mr the most.

heh heh...

i know where you're coming from on the

basquiat story.

its somewhat significant to me

right now becuz i'm in the process of trying

to unlearn/redirect my drawing style. so i've been

looking at tons of african mask art, haida

art, primitive stuff, how picasso appropriated

the african stuff into his own whatever....you know,

nicking bits of stuff from all over trying to work

that into something my own.

some stuff serves a purpose in hindsight.

don't waste your time and scan and all that shit....

i just thought you'd have some morsels handy.

seriously....

this curnoe book comes out on the heels of

a large retrospective

at the art gallery of ontario. richter had a

show there some 15 years ago.

i'm just making little asinine connections.

i could, however, handle some little nuggets

on the man....i don't know too much about him.

tearz, i'm pumped your pumped.

seriously, you should check out the book. it might be

where you're at...he painted quite a few

bikes man....10 speeds galore with

all the colors of the rainbow:).....and he copied

down stats and shit, his mileage everyday, the

whole nine..he was a pretty large enthusiast.

i don't think

you will find much on the net...at least

i didn't. flick wise. biography wise there's

some stuff. i would've loved to have racked

this book bro, it was clockin' in at close

to a 'browner'(canuck slang for a $100 bill),

but alas, i shook my head and left, defeated

by the fact i didn't have the skrilla or balls to lay it down

for a hometown hero.

nah brah, but thank you for bumping this again... it reminds me that i have some serious work to do... reminds me that i need to paint me some 10 speeds all colors of the rainbow. :) i think i need a rainbow bike.

i checked into it... i checked at my indie/community book spot and it was 80 something boners. which is rugged. but it's in my journal in my "shit i need to get" page. soon come. i'll let you know.

keep bumping braddah.
