They can't shit without permission from some white executive. Not only that, but they really don't see that money that they're records make. The white exec does. Then the label buys them a bunch of stuff, a nice house, some cars, clothes and they think they're rolling. But as soon as they're contract ends or they fall off and get cut from the label, they got nothing. They lose the cars, the houses, the clothes. Plus, most of them have those jewels rented from somewhere, and don't really wear them except on the cover of their records and in the videos. So really, unless they know the deal, and run their own shit, and know how to do business, they're still just repressed, unconscious hoodrats. Don't be fooled by BET and MTV.
