UCLA needs more leadership both on court from the PG position and by the coach. Kapono is having a sub par year thinking too much about the draft. Maybe he'll shine in the tourney and help UCLA advance. Barnes got suspended and could do better. USC lost their best player last year and didn't have anyone to step into his role. Although Bibby is a pretty descent coach. Overall I think USC & UCLA have the potential to make the elite 8 or maybe even the final 4 if their lucky. Both teams can put together some good games. Guest ctrl+alt+del Posted March 15, 2002 Share Posted March 15, 2002 the zags start at 4:40 so i guess well see soon enough. i saw the start of the FAU game and they were getting beat pretty bad, they were seeded 15th and playing the 2nd seed so go figure i guess. if dickau can get his 3's dropping and Gourde can get on the inside it should be good. I just heard the Zags are favored by 6 so that makes me kind of nervous. too close for my likings. I hope they can stay in till Elite Eight. They are being hyped a lot, but i think they really do deserve it. Its funny, because Spokanes such a small city, that this is like THE event.
