It's super rich I could barely finish the last peice. The restaurant has a min order of 4oz @ $90.00+ chose not to go that route and opted for the 10oz filet mignon. Perfection! Waygu is good, but I think it is over rated due to inconsistencies in quality. I've had some really good A5 and went back thinking it was gonna smack... was disappointed. Had american wagyu and didn't really taste or see the difference from a nice cut filet. American waygu will never be on the level of Japanese a5 - Americans refuse to massage our cattle. In-laws of mine are currently raising American wagyu, and trust me it's far from anything restaurant quality right now. But yeah, if you any one of you ever come to Houston and want a nice steak make reservations to Pappas Steakhouse off of Westhiemer.
