  1. The following handstyles are from NYC writers who started in the 60's or 70's. Here is a small collection of writers some of which are founding fathers/mothers of style. Stay tuned for pictures of more NYC writers and writers from around the world. NAK 143rd Pace SSB crew Rocky 184 Charmin 65 EX VANDALS crew S.pat 169 Butch 2 TFP crew Mike 171 SLAVE 1 Amrl/Bama EX VANDALS crew BOT 707/SOLID 1 RIFF 170 INDS. This is how RIFF 170 first did his tag.
  2. Here are a few vintage drawings by RIFF 170. These drawings are from the early 70's to mid 80's. From RIFF's master pieces, characters and tags you can see why he is an early 70's style writing pioneer from NYC.
  3. The classic SOLID BOT DON RIFF car was done in 1976. It was in memory of BOT 707's brother SOLID 1 who has passed away.
  4. I'm a self admitted noob.. got a question. Can someone tell me what the numbers at the end of tags meant, if anything. Thinking about more old school cats.. They touch on it in Style Wars but ai dont think they really explain it. (I.e. evoke258, rove45, ect..).. and I've never got the whole "1" thing either. Sole1,jake1..(not writers, but you get the idea. thanks for the input
