chili over rice is top tier. anything over rice is though. i'm aggressively pro-rice, it's the best carb. i think the chili recipe was usually: - whatever ground beef was on sale that week (feel like we had a lot of 85/15) - canned tomato purée - canned diced tomato - a white onion, minced and cooked down - garlic powder - canned red beans or black beans - cumin - black pepper top with sour cream, cheese (i skipped both and went for hot sauce)

perfect mix for partying, laying back chilling, or just guys night

cincinnati chili fucking sucks. but chili over noodles is a comfort food classic. not sure if that's ohio specific but i grew up on chili over noodles with a side of cornbread. no vegetables in sight. thank you ohio.

well known secret to podcasting is just being 2-5 guys who are totally replaceable and impossible to distinguish from each other. weird that it works but it does.

actually i've never learned which is which. don't really care to.

like indiana has the "hoosier hospitality" thing which is just rebranded regular nice. most people in the midwest are equally nice

ohio is a meme because it's had mostly bad press for like 50 years. large swathes are pretty poor. it's equal amounts post industrial (the side my family is from) and rural. lots of people who can, leave— it's been affecting brain drain for decades. however it must be said... people who shit on ohio are actively trying to forget that indiana, kentucky, alabama, idaho, arizona, and oklahoma exist.

i just did the math on the flaanimal build and i think with an ultegra group it'll be 16-18lbs. that's 8-10 pounds lighter than my current bike. i can't even imagine
