Tag1 2: Electric Boogaloo

This is the last oil painting I did (year before last) before a kitten showed up at my door and I ended up taking her and a shelter cat in. I'm starting up on a new one soon now that I've got them listening to commands and can put stuff up on the counters without worrying about them getting up there... Cadmium oranges and yellows, Nickel Titanate yellow and green, chromium green, mercury sulfide vermillion, cobalt purple, lead flake white, and finished with turpentine-solvent varnish in a spray can... it's got all the toxins. 😄 I'm probably missing something in there.

If you did it in swift IIRC it would just need to send out WebRPC or Ajax or whatever requests to the site to get a bunch of json formatted database info that you'd need to display in webkit containers to make the HTML in posts work right, I wouldn't even bother. It's barely better on Android since the main language everyone uses is Java (fragmented into a bunch of stupid languages nobody has heard of that run on the Dalvik JVM like Groovy, Kotlin, etc) even though you can just write the whole program in C or C++ if you feel like it. The only advantage android has for stuff like this are things like the F-Droid repositories that let you distribute your stuff without getting it signed.

I have re-appeared bearing mid-grade-horrifying stable diffusion generated imagery, might actually stick around this time. Last time there was too much going on with my dad going in and out of the hospital but he's all good now after getting stuck wearing a temporary concrete spacer in place of his shoulder implant for ~2 years instead of 6 months thanks to covid, and I'm just hanging out gardening, making tie dyes... Oil painting... I decided I was going to use all the old ultra toxic pigments nobody will touch and picked up the only one I need to mix myself a while ago.. Paris Green (copper acetoarsenite). They used to use it as rat poison but it was too toxic, and for a while they were painting the inside of houses in france with a water-base version of the paint but it turned out to release arsenic trihydride gas under unknown conditions and kill half the house out of nowhere. I was amazed I found somebody selling it. Once it's in linseed oil it'll be about as safe as anything else. Still taking photos but not as often because I'm not walking as much... Finally started making some display fireworks again but I'm kinda limited to what I can get away with in town so it's mostly glitter crosettes and fountains so far. I'm planning on getting some tooling for spin-stabilized rockets before the 4th learning SideFX Houdini starting with the new renderer so I can jump between it and renderman once it's out for H20... and finally messing around with Stable Diffusion every once in a while to see what even more awful imagery I can get newer models to spit out. I don't consider generative images like the stuff Stable Diffusion produces to have any real artistic merit (nor are the models even remotely AI, and wouldn't be if they continued learning while being used for generation or probably if an actual god attempted to bring them to life, but if people want to keep calling huge poorly optimized state machines artificial intelligence I can't stop them). I somehow own a house now too... I try to be the whitest seeming person on the block by doing the golf course style diagonal lawn striping when I mow and spending the warm parts of the year gardening, I'm hoping it keeps the cops away from my house when they drive through and smell pot since like 7 of the neighbors smoke bales of the shit outside all weekend and I don't want to deal with them. I'm also in my 40s so I'm legally required to start getting incredibly boring, but I've been combatting that one. If anyone needs crazy looking masses of tentacle hentai that are also wifi network QR codes (or web links or whatever) I can fire those off pretty quick after I fix the old node tree for it. 😄 Shoot me a message with the kind of code you need and I'll make something you can terrify guests with.
