  1. Bet it was the ligament in the front of her knee, couldn't take the mammoth weight pushing down on it.
  2. Yeah, I mean I don't really have a position in the gun debate for the US, I do for my own country but we live in a very different circumstance than the US. I just get frustrated when I see really complex situations boiled down in to really simplistic arguments as if the answers are really easy. I also have a mate that has spent the majority of his life hunting and hasn't spent a day in the military and I'm more than happy to see him owning a whole fucking arsenal. However I also have other mates who hunt and I wouldn't go anywhere near them when armed. Complex world, complex issues and even as some one who loves guns/shooting/hunting, I'm glad I live in a city where guns are like hen's teeth.
  3. One way this headline could translate is - Person trained and experienced in firearms and combat in urban environments saves people. Worth considering whether an untrained, inexperienced person with a firearm would have been able to achieve the same thing. It may be true that s/he could have, or even saved one or two people. It may also be true that s/he could have made the situation worse and put more lives in danger. All I'm saying is that I don't think it's as simple as "give people more guns and things will be safer for everyone".
  4. This word makes devours banquets of ass. I got nothin....
  5. There used to be a signals boxe somewhere near North Syd station about 10 years back with a charo riding a bomb that was falling in to Sydney harbour, it was around the time of the Iraq war. Anyone have a pic of that?
  6. Nope, I'm no expert and that's why I don't have an opinion on what happened. I'm just highlighting the fact that you are not an expert. And let's just remember that this is not your theory, you're just repeating what you've seen other people say for like 10 years now. Jesus, how did I let myself get involved in such a fucking inane discussion.....
  7. Yeah, I have no idea about 9/11 (as much as you want to think I do) but it's pretty clear that Iraq was a disaster right from the manipulation of intelligence, that curveball dude they relied on and the 'analysis group' that Rumsfeld set up. Tommy Franks asked for more troops and Rumsfeld refused to increase the numbers, believed the BS that they'd be greeted like heroes and whatever else. The list of bad decisions is huge and all that ever happened was that Rumsfeld was relived of his office and Wolfowitz ended up at the World Bank. If it was a private company people would be in prison.
  8. Ah, I don't know what you think I'm saying there other than non-experts usually don't know what they're talking about - and that goes for believers and non-believers. So again, I'm not even disagreeing or arguing with you, as much as you want me to.
  9. Don't think I've ever told you that I work for the govt, have I? I mean I used to post a lot when drunk but pretty sure I've never said I worked for any govt. And if I did, why on earth would I tell a stranger on a graffiti website?! You may also like to pay attention that I've never said you are wrong about 9/11 either. So not sure what I'm supposed to be perpetuating. But continue on with making up arguments, I'm happy to watch.
  10. I'd like to see the planners of the Iraq invasion held accountable. The forecasting, planning and execution was a complete debacle and handed control of the country to Iran after costing the lives of many occupying soldiers as well as civilians. I really have a hard time seeing how Iraq was not the greatest failure since, well, out of all US foreign wars. I know how it works but it seems strange in life how a bloke can go to prison for destroying a company with bad business decision yet the planners of such as ridiculous disaster are not held accountable for such bad planning and management.
  11. You realise that I don't have clearance, don't work for the govt and just do geopolitical analysis for a publishing company, right? But feel free to continue making stuff up that makes me look cool, And, as usual, I'm not interested in arguing with you. I'm interested in what people who have engineering degrees say, not some bloke who's been on a construction site selling sandwiches a couple of years ago. Carry on.
  12. I love conspiracies. Not because the theorists are nuts or anything, more so because the people who argue for and against them usually don't have a clue what they're talking about as the issues are usually highly technical and/or very secret. I wouldn't have a clue what happened on 9/11 but if I had to bet I'd put my money on a fuck up rather than a conspiracy, simply because that's the most likely situation. I look forward to seeing things like this investigated with all sides being open (which I'm sure they won't be). I'd like to see the Pentagon situation fully explained and documented too. Carry on with the argument.
  13. Gotta tell ya, the last thing that I want is a phone that records my bio data. The only reason I still use an iPhone is because my computing platform is Mac. If I hadn't lost my iPhone 3Gs I'd still be using that sucker as well. As it is I got a 5 the other day and I don't do anything different on that than the 3Gs....., which was relocated the day after I got the fucking 5.....
  14. I'm not sure what the peeps are saying but I'm sure some of them do have a point. Barry painted himself in to a corner by drawing a line in the sand. He was called on that line and didn't stand up to defend it. That's not a very good look, it diminishes your power, as the logic goes. Kind of like saying "Oh yeah? Why don't you come over here and say that?"...., then the dude does come over and say it and you don't do shit. You look like a chump and dudes will treat you like one. However, in many places the US is seen as unpredictable and that can be used as a strength if played right (take North Korea as an example). The US has a lot of credibility, really, they DID go in to Astan, the DID go in to Iraq, they ARE taking it up to China and there is another 70 years of commitment in terms of Vietnam, Haiti, Grenada, Kosovo, etc. behind them. So whilst not defending the line doesn't do them any favours I'm not sure exactly how much harm it will do them in the big picture either.
  15. lolololol, I aint going to even think about discussing fucking gun laws in Africa!! You're off your head, mate.
  16. I never had one in the first place. You're the one arguing, I was just talking.
  17. So........, not so many bombs falling or boots on the ground over there. Russia didn't get disregarded and Obama was given a way out. Everybody's happy, yay!
  18. Yeah, I know, lol. Argument by meme and implication. Profound on the outside, hollow on the inside.
  19. I reckon all the votes are in, looks like you again Mass. What's the new word?
  20. lol, I watch TV and I shit stir. The first 13 series of the Simpson's is like crack cocaine to me and there's a Brit show called The Thick Of It that is like crack heroine meth. Didn't watch TV for four years when I was in China though, didn't miss it. Just watched the Big Lebowski on DVD when I felt like zoning out.
