Yea I normally done smoke when I play maybe some sativa beforehand but then I overthink everything, being in the clearest mindset is when it’s the most gratifying. sick dude definitely wanna start out with clubs that fit so you don’t get discouraged, see what clubs you actually hit you could get new shafts installed not too expensive and it could be worth looking into. For starter sets look at Cobra they’re known for being the best bang for ya buck in that category.

bunkers are tough even for decent golfers so you're doing something right, starting out there is a tendency to want to lift the ball out of the sand but its actually sunk in there so miss hits happen when you dont make contact on the down swing. also found it helps if you make a corny joke about the beach

Its super relaxing and a really satisfying time, tbh I rarely drink while I play cause its easily a 10 + stroke swing, met up with some old hs peeps last year and got bombed barely broke a hundred. You seem like one of the dudes on here that could be into it, get some used clubs go to the range work on planting your lead foot just be consistent dont try to start out trying to kill it, just make good contact on your downswing then start increasing your club speed once you have that shit figured out, great skill to have a lot of the things you learn in golf apply to life as a whole
